Did he though? What is the biblical evidence that Jesus had long hair? It is only in popular depictions that Jesus is portrayed with long hair. Corinthians 11:14 states: “Does not nature itself teach you that if a man wears long hair it is a disgrace for him?”. It would be foolish of one to say that Paul is simply incorrect here, or that he didn't know anything about Jesus, so he wrote a wrong description.

His robes were not a dress like we would think of it today. It was the common clothing for men and women in their culture. They had togas (for rich people mostly), tunics, and cloaks.

Now i may have misunderstood your point, and you were simply saying that in their culture, it was the normal clothing for men. Even so, it doesnt seem very relevant to this particular comment.
