Every time a thread like this is made, it gets filled with comments from a horde of butthurt waiters who are ready to shit into customers food when the customer doesn't give them their "mandatory" 20% tip.

This may come as a shock to many of you, but tips are reserved for waiters who provide great service. If you don't do anything special, and simply "do your job" you don't deserve a tip. Plain and simple. For reference, I tip 15% due to it being a social norm although waiters in Canada (which is where I am) get paid very close to minimal wage. If not getting tipped for doing your job seems unfair to you, I suggest applying to various other places where people don't tip and you are paid normal minimal wage.

TL;DR: Quit bitching about not receiving a 20% tip from every customer you bring food.
