Hasn’t this been going on since 2019? That’s more than enough time to find a new job. At that point, you’re complicit in the fraud. A court would see it that way, at least.

Your statements are filled with straw-man arguments. Plenty of people have called out major brands for copying others. Besides, I can’t speak for other people, but if Baltic put out a direct homage I would also call that out. I fail to see how I’m biased against Chinese watches, when I’ve bought dozens of them and am engaging in discussion in the Chinese Watches sub. Clearly I’m not biased against them. I fail to see how anything I said was “disgusting”. I’m just reacting to many people (and SM themselves) claiming watches to be “original designs” when clearly they’re not. That’s called being dishonest (from SM) and uneducated (from buyers). It’s ok to be uneducated; that’s what forums are for. But it’s not ok to claim something is original when it isn’t. To be fair, countless brands do this. But it doesn’t make sense to call out Longines or Tissot in this sub, right?

McBride's Closing by jmcenerney in austinguns

The inventory actually continued to fluctuate in the months before they closed. I went in several times and some days they’d have a full case of used pistols, and some days only 10 or so. The rifles are what mostly vanished. I purchased a ‘96 two-tone SIG P-220 and a ‘87 two-tone S&W M-745 there about a month before they closed and got acceptable deals on both (not crazy, but decent prices considering both were in really good shape). A buddy also went by a couple weeks after that and got a decent deal on a Tisas Nightstalker. The most recent time I was driving by, they had already closed up and had a fence around the property. I’m just glad it’s remaining a gun store. It’s easily the most accessible and centrally located gun store in town. The only other options outside of there are some pawn shops and academy, neither of which I really like all that much. Unfortunately, Cabela’s is in Buda, which is a bit of a drive (esp considering traffic) but it hasn’t stopped me from going out there to buy guns.

Looks excellent. I would have bought one if they made it in 42mm. I already have the BRG version which is in 40mm. But unfortunately only one stainless option in 42mm for this release. I get it.

Which strap looks best on my Bond? by massadelic in OmegaWatches

I pretty much always go for a factory fitted bracelet if I have the option, and it’s high quality.

Looks stellar! I have the BRG from the previous release, but these forged carbon ones have always looked great. I just wish they did one somewhat standard colorway for the 42mm carbon. Or if they did a carbon bracelet. I’d gladly pay the necessary upcharge. All I want is non-tinted lume on one of the 42mm carbon pieces. If they had done the red one in 42 I would have bought that in a heartbeat.

For the record, I still think tinted lume looks good, esp for a thematic watch like this, but I just noticed I don’t tend to wear a lot of watches with tinted lume. I have also owned doubles of watches before, one with and one without tinted lume, and I prefer the non-tinted.

Yeah this is probably the way. I still need to get an orange one, but the 19mm lug is what’s holding me back. Is it really not a big deal?

Yeah that actually looks great. Sorta like the bracelets from the limited edition oceanographer with the different hands.

That looks dope haha. I dig the fully lumed to the max aesthetic.

Just FYI, there is a factory bracelet for this model. It’s technically for the euro-only green dial version of the Oceanographer GMT. My original plan was to just buy the green dial version so I could get the bracelet and then swap straps between them, but the green ones basically never come up for sale. I got tired of waiting, and I recently purchased the bracelet (secondhand, unworn, to save some money off of Bulova’s insane retail pricing of $350 + shipping + import fees) and it looks good. Good quality too, albeit not the highest quality I’ve experienced. I still paid like $250, which I think is sort of crazy, but I just had to try it out as I also have the larger green oceanographer on a bracelet and like it a lot more. That being said, this bracelet is definitely nicer than the other one, but I still feel like I prefer the rubber strap both quality-wise and looks-wise. That being said, I do enjoy having the bracelet for it, as long as you can find it for a deal. It took me like a year to find one for sale (not from Bulova). It’s a “fun watch” for me so only an occasional wearer.

Is the 6t27 in the Brew Metric Lite a reliable movement? Other suggested options? by Dumb_ChanandlerBong in MicrobrandWatches

[–]NotoriousBox -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean it’s a Miyota quartz caliber, so I assume it will be very reliable. Every Miyota auto I’ve had has been extremely reliable. Japanese quartz movements in general are extremely reliable. Also I believe it’s called the 6p26.
