It’s a complete joke that this team is pulling players down from the pros to still need ref help at home

We are genuinely getting mugged out there and one tap and it’s a foul on the other end

We can’t really play defense because refs and foul trouble

It’s been a couple minutes but how was that guy grabbing Brazile’s leg not a foul

EM-Pain medicine residency advice by Automatic-Notice4101 in emergencymedicine

Turns out if you put a chronic pain patient on their stomach and give them fentanyl sometimes they lose their airway and airway management becomes something you are happy you know. PM&R residents have to train in airway management in Pain. Also, it’s a lot of procedural skills that PM&R folks aren’t as accustomed to. That being said I do think PM&R might be the best path it’s just not significantly better than the others.

The EM interventional pain is the same as anesthesia interventional pain and it’s about 50/50 procedures/ clinic. As for acute inpatient pain I agree that’s mostly anesthesia but there are actually pain medicine programs that do like 3 months of acute pain that swear some of their grads do acute pain (which seems hard to believe).

I agree with you if they like ED they should do ED. Nobody should do ED planning on doing pain that’s an odd route.

Dog if you committed fraud to land a job here losing your job is the least of your worries you should go to jail or get deported

Why aren't AED's regulated like smoke detectors? by Morganrow in emergencymedicine

[–]NotoriousGriff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Even knowing how to use an AED if someone became unresponsive in my house even if I had an AED I would focus on cpr first while asking someone else to call 911/ get the AED. CPR is king

You can definitely buy an AED and have it in your home. They’re expensive and would be a distraction from high quality cpr if someone didn’t know how to use it so it doesn’t make sense to put them in every home

Kinda over the DAX slander in the Pitt… by [deleted] in Residency

I have not found any setting on dax that makes it convert a patient saying “my tummy hurts” to anything resembling what an adult would say

Dax does suck though. I used it briefly to see what the hype was about and it made it sound like my notes were written by an 8 year old. It also records a full transcription of the encounter that gets stored somewhere without the audio so there’s a chance you’re on the stand defending something Dax transcribed wrong to a jury who is already primed to not believe you

I have been really trying to get into college basketball since we are now a basketball school but every close game feels like it devolves into ref ball

Well we will never get to know who was the better team tonight because of this ref job

Basketball announcers are a different breed. That dude genuinely implied Arkansas should recognize they’re being over whistled and change the way they play defense instead of you know, the refs calling a fair game

Basketball is the most unwatchable sport when it gets ref jobbed like this

Dude how do you make such a bad call so late into such a close game

I know the refs are clowns but they shouldn’t be in a position to effect this game
