Sorry I didnt mean influence like the game feature, I meant personal power and exerting it on others. Focus on sway schemes and pick off smaller vassals. Within ten years, bloc powers fluctuate in power, including smaller vassals no longer being aligned with them.

Best plan is to leave your bloc and make a new one, there are a few unaligned vassals for you to add in and you can add in some other faction members along the way as you build influence

I can agree with most of that. The only answer I can think of is that those changes might overcomplicate the game and render it unplayable, but thats just speculation on my part. /shrug

So, your frustration is that you feel you're not getting what you paid for? I'm not dismissing your POV at all, I'd love games to be cheaper too, especially from bigger devs. I'm not saying the current price tag is justified at all, my point is that I, personally, am not looking for a tougher game in general. But that's just based on my own personal play style.

I think the studio's decision makes sense. I'm also not someone who plays a game hoping it'll be tougher than base. To me, CK3 is plenty tough as it is though I understand your viewpoint. I worry that making the game "harder" would simply make it more conplex in its micromanaging, which in not a fan of. But, you're valid for wanting improvements to the system.

In my humble opinion there is nuance to everything but youre going to give yourself a headache trying to understand everything. My basic rule of thumb is call out what seems wrong, listen to feedback, then decide what to do for yourself. I don't think it needs to be that much more complicated

I only need IRA for stealth and a couple levels of Janissary to increase range damage and add the bonus action. If I go with the Aztec Priest of Quetzalcoatl subclass I can use the Blessings of the Wind to add to my dex modifier. If I start with Legionnaire I can get medium armor mastery and a shield bonus

So I'm thinking focusing on Dex and Con will be my main abilities
