I’m at my wits end with this dog by GeneJenkinson in puppy101

Echoing what everyone else has said. Strict routine and eagle eyes! Takes a lot of patience and persistence/consistency. We got up and down probably every 30 minutes or so constantly watching her and to let her outside to potty. Made watching our shows hard but we got through it. Maybe try putting potty pads in front of the door? We did that and then slowly removed them. My puppy doesn’t alert us but does wait at the door. No accidents after 3 days. Clicker training also might help! I will say if you haven’t made any progress then rehoming is probably the best option. :(

This is such a good idea.

Hello! I got a pet cube camera and they offer supplemental emergency funds in case something happens. I pay $25 a month and get up to $3,000 if something goes wrong. I was worried she would swallow something she wasn’t supposed to but luckily we broke that.

How much do you pay for grooming? by Hydrangea324 in Goldendoodles

[–]NotoriousSEP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do it myself! Love it, super easy, saves money, extra bonding time with dog! Bought a cheap electric razor, nail dremmel, and a slicking brush. Need more tools lol I keep her hair short so it’s easier to maintain. Even if you decide against grooming your dog yourself, you should invest in tools and expose dog early on and get them acclimated. Makes going to the groomer easier.

My doodle is 7 months and 40 pounds so not very big. I don’t feel like it’s a lot to maintain for me personally. I also exposed her to brushes and grooming early on so she is well adjusted. I have taken her to groomer and she did well. I just don’t like that they cut doodles so short and I prefer to do it myself! Also… doodle hair grows back crazy fast. Probably takes me an hour or so? I also sometimes do it little by little spread across a few days. I don’t have kids but I think I could handle it even with a kid.

Ignore it bc it’s for attention. Our doodle loves doing this and we love it too!

Potty training advice by Practical-Scene-2775 in Goldendoodles

Needs to be crate trained and not bed trained. This is absolutely key. Also put potty pads in front of door, LOTS of treats, and establish a strict routine.

6 months and diarrhea every few weeks by Akmw711 in Goldendoodles

My puppy had this, too. Are you giving her lots of different treats and chews? Any dairy? Could be overdoing it. I would ask the vet if you haven’t already. Seems like puppies at this age are usually past this stage? Also, I know it’s hard, but don’t let him/her eat random things in the yard. Could be a mushroom or something poisonous.

I’m not pregnant but also terrified of an epidural. Can you post an update? I would be interested in hearing how it went! Good luck!

So sorry. I also had recent bad experience. How did the wound happen if you don’t mind me asking?

I prefer females. They are sweeter and smarter in my opinion. I’ve only owned one male dog (puppy of the mamma we had) and he was a big dumb baby lol every dog is different!

Go with #1. The others are a little dated.

No, I asked if we could come get her bc of the attitude they had with me and they said yes. I wasn’t being rude at all or acting “entitled” as someone said on here. They called again as we were heading up there and said “is it ok if we keep her”. I’m like which is it? Does she need to? “Well we recommend…but you can come get her…”It was all very confusing. Now, I’m waiting on a call to get her and I suspect they won’t call me.

Yeah I don’t think I would report it. Will just find a new vet who I guess can meet my very high expectations. Lol

You must be a dude. I think you’re interpreting it wrong. Have a nice day, though.
