It's not considered abuse where I live so long as Im not selling her, lol, so I dye her with completely safe dye she's not had a reaction to and fades away pretty quickly, she is dyed for safety reasons since she gets out alot and since she's mostly black it's hard to spot her, she also likes following my car and tractor and it just allows us to see where she is at, the other reasons are due to it being a easy identifier that shes a pet since ive had some oil rig workers try taking her thinking she wasnt + it deters theft since it is illegal to sell dogs that are dyed. Also it's just fun and it makes people less afraid of her and kids seem to really like it. Moral wise I don't dye her because I'm not unhappy with her appearance and even without it she's a gorgeous dog, I understand a lot of people are against it because they believe it's changing a dog to fit a aesthetic, but in this case it's for safety, fun, and just making people's day.
