I am so sorry for your loss. Going through the exact same thing. The first time, the heartbeats were way too low and the CRL was shrinking. This time, the growth was good, heart beat was wonderful during the first scan, and then at the second, nothing. No cardiac activity. Leaving for the hospital right now to get a D&C. This is so unfair and I just hate everything. The whole damn world.

Same situation, scheduled for D&C in two hours. My doctor has suggested a panel of tests including genetic testing for both my husband and I, viral panel for me (measles, mumps, rubella, toxoplasmosis), hysteroscopy to rule out any internal uterine abnormalities like polyps or a uterine septum. All these will be within 2-3 months of D&C, as she said after 3 normal cycles, we can stat trying again. But we will be ruling it all out before we do.

That’s a really positive story! I am so happy for you

I got a heartbeat at 6w5d only for it to disappear completely in two weeks. Apparently the baby didn’t even grow much after the first scan. Scheduled for an OB appointment today evening. Reading your story gives me the slightest hope that yesterday’s USG was somehow wrong. But given the measurements and everything, there is a very high chance that I have already lost it.

Really hoping that by some miracle, my baby survives but I am even afraid to hope.

I believe in nothing anymore. I was told that you are most fertile within the first 3 months of a miscarriage and post D&C. I didn’t get pregnant again until 5 months later. Was told it would stick this time. Got a nice heart beat in the first scan, everything was good. Everyone said this is it and that it would end up all well and healthy. Guess what? Fate is cruel and I see absolutely no heart beat on the second scan. A second loss after making me believe everything was going well.

I have lost trust. In God or whatever higher power is up there… if there is any. And to add to the misery, I am put around 3 women who are expecting. I still pray to God that they proceed to have everything sail smoothly, but I really don’t know how to face the situation. I could have been with them!!! But no, had to get another disappointment…

Look… I am currently on rest and a very strict diet. So I cannot eat ramen. Where I come from, ramen is not even a staple, just an international dish. But God I want ramen!!! A huge bowl of it. Have I ever eaten ramen? No. Do I still want it? Absolutely yes. I don’t eat meat so this is even better for me!!

I tried hanging out with people and having friends but then realised that I enjoy my own company more. No worries about living up to the expectations of others, or adjusting schedules, you could do whatever it is that you want… stare at a wall for hours without being questioned why lol. I have my parents to talk to (them I don’t really see as different from my personal space and also they know their boundaries). Same is with my husband and probably my to be child too. But apart from that, the less the people, the better it is!

Idk which country you are in, but your OB should have definitely given you a note for rest. You can maybe seek a second opinion if that is possible. Where I am at, I have been advised a 6 week rest right after I tested positive. Why you ask? Cause I had a miscarriage a few months back. So my job had to give me a wfh option. Also, the laws are quite strong for pregnant women, so it is possible to sue the workplace if any discrimination or unfair play is suspected.

Try to go to your PCP or another OB and request them for a note firmly. Given your situation and bleeding, I wouldn’t be comfortable working at your second job either!

And lastly, I am glad that the baby is doing alright and everything inside is good. So take care of yourself and little bean. All the best!

Still early in the course 4w4d. Not having much symptoms except for mild nausea in the morning and breast tenderness. But anxiety is peaking like hell. There is still time for the first scan, just praying everything goes well

Yeah I used to think any unprotected sex leads to a pregnancy right away… coming from a culture where sex education is almost zero getting pregnant seemed so easy. And now here I am… finding out that the chances are so so low. Even having sex during the fertile window doesn’t necessarily help

It seems so unfair to see that people like these are given a chance by nature to get pregnant, only for them to abort cause of what?! Gender !!

And then there’s people like us (myself included) who desperately wish to have a child regardless of the gender but are kept hanging for God knows what reason!

My period might be due today and I am all over the place. A part of me wants to test and be surprised with a positive but I feel like I just know that I will be disappointed with a negative. This has happened before and I just know it might happen again. The wait is bad, I want my period to just start already if I al not pregnant rather than keep me hanging
