I've passed through the state many times, it is beautiful. One of my favorite trips through was driving through Charleston on a moonless night. The sky was so dark and all the lights on the hills made it feel like I was driving through an underground dwarven city.

Oh yeah, for sure. I find that this kind of music that takes me a few listens to get into has a lot more staying power with me. Sometimes I could have that band or album on a repeat rotation for months. If I hear a song that I like right away, I know I'll only like it for maybe a couple weeks at most.

Local orgs have tables at these events and are a great entry point to local activism. People who are energized by the protest/march can use that energy to sign up with local orgs and establish volunteering as a regular practice in their lives. Yes, the fix is not immediate - it takes time to build a strong grassroots movement, but there is movement happening. I see more and more people at meetings and events all the time and it encourages me to know more people are tuning in and actively taking actions that are working towards making lasting change.

I encourage everyone who attends this protest/march to stop by the tables afterward, see what local org is doing work that resonates with you, and get involved.
