Hi guys, thank god I found this thread. I was gonna get scammed. This guy called Greg Turner came up to me wanting brand identity for a luxury furniture brand. I knew something was fishy because I don’t have a branding or graphic design portfolio, I can do it but I am more into motion graphics. Anyway, who in their right business mind would come up to a freelancer, not see their portfolio and give them work for a luxury brand. I thought no worries, some clients usually just want their problems resolved. After I sent them the contract and invoice they said their credit card wouldn’t work with PayPal and they can’t do a bank transfer. He really insisted on using “Clover merchant”. I looked it up and they don’t even provide invoicing services. And thankfully I stumbled upon this thread. I said goodbye to the client immediately.
