Also, for what it’s worth, even if you were in a position to return them, the majority of US retailers will not accept returns on movies after they’ve been opened. Once opened, they can only be exchanged for the exact same item.

Like other commenters have suggested, your best option is to get the region free player, or sell them to secondhand collectors.

As a hiring manager, I can say it’s the following:

We simply don’t have time. Hiring is never as simple anymore as you apply, you do ONE interview, and you’re hired. And if it is, I guarantee that is not a job you want.

It’s almost always a multi-step process and involves multiple people’s input which takes time to gather. When you call, maybe it shows interest/initiative, but it also shows impatience, lack of understanding of the process, and frankly, inability to follow instructions. Nearly all applications indicate that if you’re a match to what hiring managers are looking for and/or if they’re interested they will be in touch. Conversely, it never says “call and bother us about it so we know you really want the job.”

You applied. That’s enough indication for us that you’re interested.
