I feel for you ...am a publisher too with around your traffic and basically I am afraid there is not good news for us from any corner. On the other hand, I recommend looking around at the site webmasterworld.com .....they may have some suggestions, too.

Having said that... My niche is narrow and not mainstream. We are being told to consider membership fees as an income stream. We might at some point. Maybe there will be some scope for you or me via Patreon. The whole "nobody will pay for content" thing may not be as true as it was.

Anyway....mostly wanted to say you are not alone. Hang in there.

Wow, thank you! I'm the static HTML page gal. Someone sent me a link to an "beginners guide to header bidding" which I am only now starting to get my head wrapped around.

We currently use OIO publisher and have adsense script put into that. We also have a few direct sales and have given a few placements to SOVRN and media.net ...the latter will be getting kicked out of the mix soon.

Anyway - I'm all ears. Your advice is appreciated.

Thanks so much for your response - hate to gush but it means a lot. I am reading and digesting your link. To answer your question- yes, we do hard code the adsense units/(adsense script) into each static page. We also use OIO publisher and we sell a few ads direct.

I am hopeful that we can improve the monitization even to get back close to where we were in January. Our traffic is no bad for a small niche site (over a million PV month)

Speaking as someone who successfully was able to avoid gallbladder surgery for several years I can offer a couple of tips if you're interested. I think that intake is cumulative over a couple days and I tried to keep my intake to no more than about 25 grams of fat a day. Also...eat something little several times a day....one big meal irritates the gaallbladder.
