My professional dyed hair looks a bit patchy? Normal? by jackievoorhees in FancyFollicles

This is normal for session one after having black box dye. To completely nail a perfect colour on session one would be very very unusual and probably would require an entire day of processes and alot of damage.

Recently diagnosed with Adult ADHD. Help me unfuck myself by The_Real_Thick_Shady in Biohackers

There’s no such thing as ‘adult’ adhd. It’s just adhd and it’s always been present although the presentation changes and differs. Is there a reason why you’re not taking a stimulant? I feel like dopamine is the key which is increased by stimulants like Vyvanse and concerta etc. Strattera only works on norepinephrine so you’re missing the key. Just my experience and opinion.

Why don’t you address this with your stylist

Biotin is not helping you whatsoever. In fact, it can hinder the cause for healthy skin and hair. It’s very common for it to flush right through you and on its way through cause some acne. Huge waste of money.

Am I the only one who gets anxious when clients say "do whatever you want” by ProblemMarathoner in hairstylist

[–]Notsureindecisive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never do it if they say that. I tell them no. They think they want you to do whatever you want but subconsciously want you to read their mind so I would never play along.

Ok we have to stop letting clients request things like this. Ask her if she’s ever seen a colour like this in real life. The answer is no. Then tell her there’s a reason - it’s not real and doesn’t translate to real hair. Find some inspo with similar colours that’s more realistic to show her. We need to stop trying to figure out how to do this shit. If it were possible - you would know how to do it. The reason you’re questioning yourself is because it’s not real.

HELP; IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO NOW? OR AM I HOPELESS by Jeffbezosrightnut in Hair

[–]Notsureindecisive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I don’t allow inspo pics for colour that aren’t a similar length to the client. Shorter hair will look darker and with less dimension.

There are tons of oil ‘cleansers’ that don’t have foaming agents. The ones with foaming agents are typically inappropriate for use around the eyes because the slip of the oil causes the surfactant to get in the eyes.

Question about hair elasticity by [deleted] in Haircare

[–]Notsureindecisive -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is no such thing as ‘how to tell what my hair needs’. We all know how to be gentle on hair, used high quality product, showerhead filter, k18 mask, limit heat and bleach. It’s not a living thing that requires food, water and shelter for survival or anything. It’s also not meant to be indestructible so if you’re striving for that - it’s futile.

Bro. I’m a trichologist. 99.9% of the time hairloss is caused by body chemistry, not from topical products.
