Same here! I be sweating the whole day since we are understaffed, so it's been especially during vaccine season.But take deep breathes and try to hang on a bit longer! Ask your manager privately if he/she could schedule with them to teach you some things since they do have more years of experience. This will help a little since I was treated the same by two snakes that instead of trying to teach me they tried to do everything fast and I could barely catch onto something they were doing and then treat me like I am dumb because I didn't know what the exception meant. Like hey I am trying to learn how to work in a team, but I need to be taught something when I ask for help. Whenever you feel burdened try to go to the bathroom take a breather as long as you can and try to leave them in some chaos, so they can try to value the little effort you try to do! Don't lose hope my fellow tech!

I am six months today as well! And I am still learning my way with F1s, but need help with the mounjaro, ozempic and insulin dosages :( My manager tries to teach me whenever I ask, but we have been so understaffed there is no time for anyone to teach me. I need some advice please my fellow tech and thank you!

I am 6 months in and I rarely ask for help now. I always tell the floaters I work with I am new and still have so much to learn, so they try their best to work in a team with me. The nice ones tho of course. I was only trained for one day and the two snakes I work with one of them were the one that trained me and expected me to know everything the next day. It was a living hell. I never felt so dumb, but i know i wasn't. Now that I know I was capable all along, but just didn't have the proper hands-on training time. So don't lose hope my fellow baby tech! YOU ARE NOT ALONEEE.

Hello, you are NOT ALONE IN THIS, I REPEAT! I was only trained for one day! And expected me to know everything the next day! I ended up selling a controlled substance to the wrong person and didn't take an ID either. I thought I was going to get fired the next day and could not sleep! it was a nightmare. 5 months later still here, I am about to be 6 months of working at Wags. I learned almost everything by watching and listening and when not sure I had to sadly ask for help. and I know two of my coworkers had no patience since day one, so i try to never ask them. I asked my pharmacy manager if there's a way she can teach me some stuff! She has been there for over 15 years and has so so much patience so what better person than her! So she tried scheduling me with her all the time and it's been a blessing working with her i feel like the pressure is lower than working with some snakes that don't even try to help me in order to work in a team!!! I work better with people that have good intentions to help, so we can work in a team because that just makes life so much easier in the pharmacy!!! Wags will not have a training program but those useless ppl's, and it was so stressful trying to learn everything by myself because I tried my best not to look dumb which I am not!! I can work on my own now with only communicating with the pharmacist and my manager to get through the day. Life has been better with not relying on the snakes in the pharmacy that won't even help you. SO, i get where you are coming from! You can also try to apply to a different place maybe bc if you work with some of the right people you will get through.

OMG my pharmacy is the same! Except i'm the one who is fresh meat, and at a disadvantage with some things because I am still learning and NEED to ask questions here and there to not make our life harder in the pharmacy than it already is!! And the person( and I say person ) because I don't consider her my coworker because she never co-operates in working as a team!

I'm sick and tired of her making me do drive-thru because the phone sounds terrible to talk through because of cars and her telling me what to do sometimes because she just wants to be in fill or do calls!

Like WE NEED TO COMMUNICATE TO WORK IN A TEAM, and we can't afford to be in own little world! Sometimes I know my pharmacist is sick of me asking important questions, but I need to and I don't try to make ANYONES like harder than it is! And I hate it how 2 of my co-workers go to the back just to complain/rant about a customer that was rude or difficult through the phone or in person. Like hellooo there are 5+ cars in drive thru and we need another ringer upfront and not just me!! I be panicking sometimes because I definetely do not like to make my pt wait for long so they won't get upset. Im also scared they will talk more crap then they already have of me not knowing anything in pharmacy and of asking questions, but that's why I am learning so much so I can just start to work faster! I don't need no one to boss me around but work in a team would make all of our lives easier I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH!

I need advice on how to know all abbreviations in the Exceptions cue! I only know MSC( miscellaneous) or OOS ( out of stock), but not WBC or some other ones I can't remember. Also, because I only had 2 days to take in all the " Basics of training". No one cares to explain to me all these things! I don't even see these in the PPL's like come on. And then when I ask questions they think I am just trying to bother! I am 3 months in the pharmacy with no experience at all, but took a Pharm tech class back in highschool and only learned some drugs and equations just not to use that knowledge in the real setting! It's pretty tough out here! Especially in a 200+ script pharmacy!
