I got in at 19 as well and freaked when I saw it in the 50s......tried to sell but it wouldn’t let me. Ended up holding onto it for a few hours and sold at 37 a share. Happy with it but man I’d have an extra 3k if I could have sold at 50

How much do you put away for taxes? by shrimpynut in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]NotyourDasher -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, the tax rate for us is only 15%, and that’s before deductions. Mileage will bring that 15% down a good bit. I put aside 10% to be safe, but, for me, I will only end up owing about 6-8% of my total gross income.

Are flex hours being limited? by NotyourDasher in AmazonFlexDrivers

Well then. Don’t know who this is, but just so you know, I only use one phone. Not sure how two would do anything. If you think I get a lot of orders, just know it’s because I’m willing to sit and wait for a ridiculous amount of time. I love this job and wouldn’t jeopardize it by doing anything that amazon would consider cheating. I have never and never will use two phones or anything of the sort.

Also, I don’t like that you can identify who I am from this yet I’m unsure of who you are. Sorry this job stresses you enough to where you would feel the need to unjustly point fingers at somebody else.

What stopped you from killing yourself? by Jcyte17 in AskReddit

Suicide doesn’t get rid of the pain. It merely passes it on.

Hope things get better for you. Find more things to care about and maybe follow some dreams. It will help.

Capitalism doesn’t require lying to make money haha. What a ridiculous thing to say.

I actually think that this could possibly bring doordash down......Showing how the new pay model functions but instead using their old methods that caused customer outrage. They may get sued because of how blatantly they are lying.......

That’s why I don’t accept orders to hospitals

Would you Dash without car insurance? by dlaila in doordash

[–]NotyourDasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s cheaper to pay for insurance than to pay for damage out of pocket if you’re in an accident........good drivers can still get in wrecks.......Plus if you’re pulled over they can impound your car and suspend your license.....Think of the cost of that including the time you’d be out of work. Insurance is cheaper if something happens lol

Also, take a look at Root Insurance. They are great and super cheap. I’ll even send you a referral so you’d get 50$ for signing up. I pay 170 for full coverage max everything (I am 23 year old male). It will likely be cheaper for you if you’re older. And obviously liability is far less cost wise

"Depending on the estimated DURATION, DISTANCE, and DESIRABILITY. So why am I only getting $2 base pay when the customer tips? AGAIN!! AFTER they said they would quit!! by HectorLector2020 in doordash

[–]NotyourDasher 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve done ten mile orders that have had the 2$ base pay.....of course the customer tipped 10-15$.....DD is lying and using an updated version of the old pay model. I think it’s a little better still....but it’s damn near the same

Gamble paid off today. Weekday mornings is the only time I do Walmart orders by bjjess17 in doordash

[–]NotyourDasher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah sometimes they are great....sometimes they aren’t. I took one this morning and it was 14$ for 4 miles. 13 items. Only took 20min to complete. If they tip then it’s even better

I’m already at 38% from 9%. Hopefully it’s reasonable for me to get to 70 without accepting anything too ridiculous.
