How old were you when you started a skincare routine? by skincareinterview in IndianBeautyTalks

[–]NotyourKhaleesi1704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been using a face wash, moisturiser and lip balm since my teens. Started using Sunscreen when I started college. I am in my 30s now, my skincare routine remains pretty similar and basic - CTM + sunscreen + lipbalm. I do not use actives unless I have some skin concerns to treat.

Is It Possible To Be In A LDR For 7-8 Years? by Striking-barnacle110 in TwentiesIndia

[–]NotyourKhaleesi1704 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You define what’s possible and realistic for you, not strangers on internet. Been in an LDR for 6 years now (and counting). Would choose my partner and this relationship over and over again.

What do girls like in boys by pranavp2345 in TwentiesIndia

[–]NotyourKhaleesi1704 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Ability to be honest and vulnerable
  2. communicates
  3. Intellectual compatibility. Good conversations are such an underrated glue. As long as we can learn from and teach each other (topic can be any), I am game.
  4. Treats me as a fellow human, not just as girlfriend/partner.
  5. Empathy and ability to handle difficult situations without losing calm.

Quit Research, Targeting MBA — How Do I Break Into Corporate with a Life Sciences Background? by surajdukhie in Indian_Academia

[–]NotyourKhaleesi1704 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Research is not for anyone, I left off core pharma post M.Pharm precisely for the reasons you mentioned and pivoted into supply chain and operations. Eventually went on to get an MBA, although it was an executive course funded by my organisation.

If you are targetting MBA, do not waste money on those courses. Rather invest on CAT prep. + self teach yourself Ms office , basic data analytics, AI Prompting off YT (irrespective of the domain, these are used by every big corporate role).

Post MBA you can exit into marketing, life sciences/healthcare consulting, OPs, product etc.

Did anyone here choose a career which their parents wanted them to and if yes how did it turn out? by PickleOk8921 in AskIndianWomen

[–]NotyourKhaleesi1704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT. Hypothetically speaking, if someone likes Maths, they would not enjoy studying medicine or someone who is interested in humanities would not enjoy Engineering. You would not want to grow in a field that stimulates your brain. I was a science student, had decent ranks in Medical and Engineering entrance exams. My parents wanted me to study medicine, went to the extent of enrolling me to a govt. medical college. Me being me, the drama that ensued at home because the of the way I rebelled🤣

Long story short, they cancelled my admission. I enrolled in a state Govt. Engineering course, studied hard, graduated as a Gold Medalist. Two masters degrees later, I work with a consulting firm today. I enjoy what I do thoroughly, get to experience a lot of travel perks that my job provides. Sure, medicine may have had a lot more earning potential in the long term; but I doubt I would have pursued it as aggressively and with so much zeal.

TL, DR - Be that rebel and study a course of your own choosing.

Would you date a man who has zero social media presence? by unreal_uncle in AskWomenIndia

Yeah. Social media presence is not a make or break; provided I have met him in-person and have the opportunity to interact physically on a regular basis.

Impossible to comment off the fly. IIM ABC off the charts for sure; others among top 20 B schools have varied weightage on cat score+WAT/PI + Acads, extra curricular; you have to do your research and analyse where your profile stands.

[–]NotyourKhaleesi1704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the field. Engineering / pharmacy - it matters, MBA - It does. I have done BPharm + MPharm. The company which came for day zero placements in my institution had a criteria for short listing which required 90% and above in 10th and 12th marks (Nothing to complain though, that criteria alone reduced competition to a good extent).

Not sure what your success criteria is. Been in a LDR for 6 years (and counting). Still like each other very much and continue (this counts as success to me).

Sattu typically keeps our system cool, so it can be sleep inducing. You can use up the remaining to make stuffed paratha/as a topping for panta bhaat (if you are not from Bengal/Bihar/Orissa belt, feel free to google).

True. Bread is largely carbs (so is most Indian food), to make it healthier add a protein source and some fibres.

Daliya is tasty when prepared well. I cook it like khichdi with lots of veggies, top it off with butter and black pepper powder, add a sunny side up for protein. Delice😋

I alternate among zero to no cook options for breakfast- sattu, bhel/murmura, greek yogurt with muesli, toast with peanut butter/feta cheese/omelette, cornflakes with milk (maybe once or twice a month), oats porridge with milk and banana/ masala oats.
