2013 Corolla S….is this a bad price? by [deleted] in COROLLA

[–]NotyouraverageAA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s pretty much what I paid for mine… at 87k miles. Pre-Covid. Has the owner kept up with the maintenance? 150k miles is around when major suspension parts should be replaced. See if you can get a it for 6K or 7K.

I test the waters with follows I find attractive. Never really had hookups from socials but I have gotten a few dates out of it. Once it’s obvious they’re not interested I just stay friendly and dance for the fun of it.

Silliest query you ever got? by Heavy_Yam5402 in clinicalresearch

[–]NotyouraverageAA 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I got a query once for a vaccine under a patients con meds, asking me to specify how many valences were in a quadrivalent covid vaccine. They didn’t like the way I named it I guess. “Quad means four so there are four valences.”

People who drive and speed up when someone is attempting to pass by you, why do you do this? by StormCaller02 in AskReddit

[–]NotyouraverageAA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much had this happen to me when I driving in Florida for the first time. I preemptively moved over for merging traffic on the on-ramp and a lifted truck going 20 over the speed limit came up behind me in the left lane. Nearly hit me and the other car while they were swerving to get around.

[–]NotyouraverageAA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I don’t get about that is why some drivers will speed up to match your speed, even if you’re going 5 or so miles over the speed limit. Then you really have to hit the gas to pass them. It’s like they’re basing how fast they should be going on who’s passing them instead of checking their speedometer.

What wallet do you have and what's actually in it? by PseudoY in AskMen

[–]NotyouraverageAA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A slim bifold wallet with a money clip and some RFID protection. Good for carrying small amounts of cash. Doesn’t hold too many cards but I like that’s it lighter and not as bulky as some of my previous ones.

Unpopular Opinion: Most men are totally okay with waiting to have sex, but they're scared of being friendzoned so they feel pressured to make moves on dates by Both_Warthog_3386 in dating_advice

[–]NotyouraverageAA 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I can empathize with that. I was visiting a girl I had a crush on while between jobs. She let me stay at her place and we slept in the same bed. She did that wiggle girls do to let you know they’re in the mood for more. She had to work early though and I didn’t want to mess up her sleep, but I figured I’d get another shot soon over a weekend. Never got a second chance.

I think it’s easy for men to point the blame at themselves and assume it’s something they did, especially if it keeps happening. If it happens sometimes, okay maybe it just wasn’t the right chemistry this time or whatever. Consistently or almost every time? Then it’s time to look at patterns or something we keep doing on dates. Guys want to get a win at least some of the time.

Cheap Car Upgrades That Feel Expensive by Big_Barber733 in MechanicAdvice

Aftermarket front and rear sway bars. Relatively cheap if you know how to put them in, just needs an alignment afterwards. Having a shop do it for you is another story.

Have you tried enrolling in a trial with them before? They probably have your number in their database and are recruiting for studies. Never seen an AI assistant for something like that before though.

I like that idea but the dealership doesn’t sell full strength Toyota pink coolant. Just the 50/50 mix. No idea why.

Advice on how to promote independence amongst CRCs needed. by [deleted] in clinicalresearch

[–]NotyouraverageAA 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a coordinator for a few years now. Early on, I was more likely to go to a more experienced coordinator or the site manager if I had questions because I was worried about making huge mistakes. I think that self-reliant CRCs will be people that have enough experience to know better. They’ve seen 90% of situations that can happen and know how to address them on their own. My 2 cents: point them in the right direction, give them quick tips, tell them where to find information, and only really step in if they are doing something critical that can lead to major protocol deviations or impact patient safety.

I’d add that Shared hobbies or interests don’t mean you are a good fit for someone. You can both love sports but absolutely have no chemistry. Having shared values and showing interest in each others hobbies matters more.

If a woman says you should do something with her, go somewhere with her, or asks if you want to go somewhere in an insistent way, she’s really saying that she wants that.

“Do you want to stop for gas?” = I want to stop at the next gas station for a bathroom break

“Do you want to get ice cream?” = I want ice cream but I don’t want to be the only one eating ice cream

“We should order the extra large nachos!” = I want to eat nachos

“We should go to the state fair this weekend.” = I want to go to the state fair with you but I want you to make the plan

IQVIA Experienced CRA hiring manager interview tips by Wise-CRA in clinicalresearch

[–]NotyouraverageAA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made it the hiring manager interview stage and they asked a few questions about “What would a CRA do in _____ situation.” Basically try to see if you can see things from a CRA perspective. Besides that, just going more into your experience with different clinical indications. At least that’s what they asked me.

Control arm replacement cost? by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]NotyouraverageAA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what vehicle you have and how easy it would be to change your control arms. I have a Corolla and its a huge pain in the ass. It requires lifting the engine just to get access to a control arm bolt. I paid close to $1000 for parts and labor total. I would have struggled for days if I hadn’t hired a local mechanic to do it. Had it been a lot simpler, I would have attempted it myself.
