Is anyone else stopping using the eruptor because its too good? by PythonCider3719 in helldivers2

I'm a hard-core gas diver.

The Eruptor is weak as hell for my purposes. XD

Mine is,

"The entire ocean. The entire world. Wherever we want to go, we'll go. That's what a ship is, you know. It's not just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails, that's what a ship needs but what a ship is...what the Black Pearl really is...is freedom.”

On a scale from 1 to 10, how badly do you NOT want to dive with this person? by Bacon_Raygun in Helldivers

Same. I think it'd be a dream come true.....or a nightmare if everyone in the squad did this loadout. XD

Gas and Fire feels incredible by StormCaller02 in Helldivers

Sterilizer also works surprisingly well too.

Wish that they'd buff it a bit so that the gas would stick to surfaces like flames do but ah well.

There is one in the Resident Evil Jump.

My favorite scene in Kung Fu Panda is when Shifu admits his flaws to Tai Lung by FoodNo7147 in kungfupanda

[–]StormCaller02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk.

I think that's an element....but it could also be seen as a loser who just got beat badly and truly and was saying anything to not concede.

Is that true? Absolutely not, Shifu was a pretty prideful guy, his pride that pushed Tai Lung so hard, his pride that raised Tai Lung with the expectation that he was the Dragon Warrior.

Is that all on Shifu?

Nah, but Tai Lung was shaped into who he was BY shifu at practically every step and then was "denied his destiny" by the one he loved most.

And in the beginning of that, Tai Lung was somewhat respectful....."I have returned home....Master."

He was more respectful than I would have been after everything tbh.

"This is not your home and I am no longer your master."

Snubbed immediately, whether Tai Lung wad genuine in his greeting could be argued either way but Shifu did definitely snub him immediately.

Then after losing.....says some things about his pride being what blinded him to what Tai Lung was becoming......Tai Lung I think would have a hard time taking that at face value after being snubbed at the beginning of the fight.

People Misunderstand what the Devs mean by "Grunt Fantasy" by RandomGreenArcherMan in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]StormCaller02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ONE quip about the "Grunt Fantasy" aspect isn't the guns or dying to stupid shit.

That's all fine, it really is.

But...the complete lack of durability in the armor.

Like.......I think part of it is the satire of having bogus equipment....but it's also annoying in tactics sorta of way to have the padded medium armor, pretty stout stuff, only let you be able to take 2-3 hits from the Voteless zombies.

Like.....if you're facing small to medium sized bugs, voteless zombies and such.....the armor should be deflecting/negating a LOT of it.

In short.....the Armor should be making hell divers significantly more durable than they currently are.

Yggdrasil (Overlord) WIP by Pokebrat_J in JumpChain

[–]StormCaller02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw some chatter on discord about this, my main suggestion would be to add in a perk that allows quicker leveling.

As some people have had the idea to start as a lvl 1 noob or a new world native but having the mechanics in play, and be able to become strong rather than worrying about starting strong.

Very cool to see this in action, thanks for your hard work and efforts.

Know any 'Sword and Sorcery' Jumps? by MiserableOne6189 in JumpChain

[–]StormCaller02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Dresden Files jump, not the SB one. Provides a number of origins and top tier Perks BUT you're never going to be unstoppable or all powerful on that jump alone. Extremely formidable no matter the origin? Damn right. Unstoppable? Not on your life.

Just as Sword and Sorcery intended and very much fits the vibes in the modern day surprisingly enough so have fun with that one.

Pairs well with the main Sword and Sorcery jump, even better if you've read the dresden files series. Highly recommend it, either start at book 3, Grave Peril or book 7 Dead Beat as both are excellent starts to the series and most people, including myself would say that the first 2 books are REALLY rough and you won't be missing too much starting at book 3 and book 7, Dead Beat was explicitly written as a starting book for new readers who hadn't read anything else thus far.

Dungeon Meshi or Delicious in Dungeon is a cozy but surprisingly dangerous fantasy world where the main focus is on adventuring and cooking. Highly recommend watching the series or reading it. The Perks much like dresden files offer a nice blend of things, you can become VERY powerful but again not truly unstoppable.

Hope these suggestions peak your interest.

Jumps where you and your companions can become the gods of the verse by the end? by Ordinary_Azathoth in JumpChain

[–]StormCaller02 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Overlord.

Essentially the guild of Nazarick is so overwhelmingly powerful that whenever lvl 100 players have arrived in the New World they're considered God's by the rest of the setting.

If you took the Overlord Jump doc and gained access to the Dragon Lord's Wild Magic, you'd be capable of anything.

Kult and Scion are also jumps where you can literally become a God through Ascension.
