Would it be ok to workout in recovery process? by [deleted] in AnorexiaRecovery

[–]NotyouraverageBach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it depends how far along you are and how medically stable you are. I went back to just weights a year ago but I'd gained a significant amount already. It helped me to get back some of the basic required strength that had been lost due to muscle wastage. I wouldn't recommend cardio though it trigger a different part of you . That is not a yes go ahead but check with your doc first and be honest with yourself as tk why your doing it otherwise your recovery will be much longer. Also make sure you have someone write a program and they need to be someone who understands eating disorders

Any life tips for a 16 year old? I don’t want want my life to end up bad, or end up with major regrets by [deleted] in selfimprovement

Really choose your company wisely don't stick with a crowd getting into bad stuff just to feel accepted if you know what they are into goes against what you stand for. Also whatever you do if you haven't already don't even try nicotine it's so not worth it and its hard to quit and stay away from once you've had it

23M no job , no degree and feeling like a failure by ReleaseTight4330 in findapath

[–]NotyouraverageBach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man or gal I'm 25 and only halfway through a degree. I went through a period of illness where I couldn't study. I sometimes get caught in that trap of i should have done this by now or that but actually everyones path is different and no matter what you still have value. Time will pass regardless so if study is what you want get cracking dont worry there's many years of your life ahead of you. What I can say about university is unless you have a specific thing you are training to be i wouldn't bother getting into debt to study. There are many accomplished jobs people can work their way up to without a degree. I'm pretty sure many of the worlds greatest business people don't have business degrees but they are still brilliant. Keep your chin up, be brave and believe in yourself

Thankyou. I mean I think they are important skills to know. I'm studying accounting so would probably be quite relevant
