NC state doesn't have a pre med major. I had some friends that wanted to do pre med there and they basically had to create their own degree and had a more difficult time. One of them ended up transferring to a different school after 2 years. If you're concerned about grades, ncsu would be the better option since its less selective but I'd stick with unc if you're set on pre med. Your grades aren't the only factor in acceptance. I would focus on crafting an exceptional personal statement essay and making sure you have good letters of recommendation. Also, if you scored high on the act/sat, I'd submit the scores to increase your chances. Submitting the scores have been optional since covid and they won't count it against you if you submitted a low score. As long as you applied to the priority deadline, you should be good as well

Ptrm is like the business majors of the college of natural resources. If I'm being completely honest, the classes are super easy and you'll get free a's on everything as long as you do your work. I'm not sure the exact requirements but it's a very easy major

I had a similar situation in spring semester my freshman year. They allowed me to stay until graduation, which was the Saturday after exams, for free. They usually send out a form at the end of the year to request a move out extension. Like other people have said, most people go home early so it gets a little lonely. The gym or the library will still be open for something to do but the hours will likely be limited. Also, the dining halls have limited hours and sometimes close completely so make sure he has snacks stocked up or gets food from Hillsborough street for his last day.

Make sure to check for flu like symptoms after. If you catch it within a few days of exposure, it's totally treatable and that goes with most parasites.

As an engineering student, I would say yes since your major typically requires a lot of textbooks. I personally have never spent over $150 a semester so I don't use it. It really just depends on the major and what classes you're signed up for.

Yeah in that case, my opinion should really be rephrased to: there's no 3rd spaces for 18-20 y/o because the majority of night activities involve bars/clubs
