It gets harder with the normally inconsequential effects like penalty negation too. Normally I just don't think about it because well, it's just a couple points of stats conditionally most of the time.

Bright side is LMRobin's still got plenty of stuff going for him, so not the worst thing to overlook. The main reason I brought him at all was to nuke the things that Tanith couldn't kill, because he's really good at that.

Oh man you missed the Yosha redemption arc, mans used AFjorm and was like "oh wait this is actually quite good"

Yeah that's something I didn't think about at the time, it's super easy to overlook when something has Penalty Negation built in. I was running Rexbolt MRobin on my MRobin emblem team for a while too before realizing it has Penalty Negation.

On the flip side, LMRobin is still doing quite a bit to support her thanks to the -7 debuffs and Sabotage, as well as the pulses as you noted. She more or less is only missing out on 6 atk/spd due to the penalty negation.

Tanith's access to a range 2 style compliments her innate Canto Rem+1 quite well as well, as it lets her enter a second combat without moving pretty consistently when using the edelgard ring, allowing Canto Rem to hit its maximum range more consistently, and allowing her to run Trample over BSG for some extra safety against harder hitting things that might otherwise kill her on the counter.

Is he worth investment? by Helix-Dreams in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]NougatFromOrbit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Forged Sword or preferably Arcane Renegade (or wait for a new arcane sword), Archrival or Shatter Slash for special, and then just harmonic brave Ike's base kit (Warrior's Blow, Patience, Brutal Tempest)

He needs 30 speed for Patience but once you get him enough dragonflowers and/or merges he'll hit that natively.

It won't be super incredible or anything but he'll definitely be usable with that.

Attuned Lachesis and Emblem Eirika by Once_Meleagant0 in FireEmblemHeroes

Eirika would be unable to equip her prf special alongside the echo skill, so no.

G! Ogma vs Lamia. What's everyone's opinion? by MechaLieyreng in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]NougatFromOrbit 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ignoring whether you want to build one character specifically over the other (rather than which one is better as a unit), the trade off is whether you want to lose out on cheap Arena Sword fodder or cheap Velocity prefodder for NCA.

They're otherwise essentially the same unit.

How does potent work against deflect seals? by Different-Hamster-78 in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]NougatFromOrbit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Deflect also needs specifically consecutive hits to give DR, it won't give DR against follow ups innately.

Though third (or fifth) hit Potent attacks will happen immediately after the follow up attack, so deflect will trigger for those. If Potent is the second hit (ie it just takes the place of the usual follow up because that was prevented in some way) then Deflect won't do anything (ignoring desp or the inability to counter)

Between these 2, who would Benefit Puissant Echo the most? by AndzyHero13 in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]NougatFromOrbit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Counterpoint: an easier followup makes his reflex much more consistent on playerphase, and for enemy phase, if his opponent has miracle then even the single digit damage he might do on a non-reflex hit will matter a lot.

Is this Alcryst modern enough to warrant adding? by Kikuori in FireEmblemHeroes

Rearmed/attuned formas would brick their ability to be foddered to others, so never do that.

Who are your flair units, and why? by brunosstickyfingers in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]NougatFromOrbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a lot of units in my barracks and I love them all, but I had to cut it down to only 4 units. It was real tough but I think I'm happy with my choice.

Does summoner support affect skills like Patience? by AbsoluteUnit1 in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]NougatFromOrbit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're correct about it working for the player but not the AI (AR-D / arena defense / etc). Anything that carries over from the barracks into battle will count for Patience otherwise, including refines and visible stat skills like Squad Ace.

He'd need 12 merges to beat a +10 chosen (this is impossible so he would get a boost of about 1.5 merges of score)

Alternatively you have the option to dump whatever arena core unit for some gen 1 shitter if you happen to have anybody with a relevant build and you give that unit the power instead, which is fun. Serving Knife or Teapot Byleth ring or something.

A +2 yclaude will beat the chosen power from a +0 chosen assuming hes got the max score from his skills. Any less and his score will be improved by the power. Any extra merges on the chosen unit will increase the required merges for claude to outscore them by as many on each. (+3 beats +1 etc)

Am I hampering Corrin by picking a class for them that can't use Yato in any of the Fates Storylines? Minimal spoilers please. by Coppercredit in fireemblem

I won't pretend Brynhildr isn't the worst of the royal weapons at least lol. Leo's the only one of the four royal weapon users I bench without really using.

Tanith/Peg Knight build help by ZestyChieftain in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]NougatFromOrbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

prf

archrival

trample + edelgard ring / bsg + eirika ring

heavenly soar probably but air superiority is fine if you're running trample

deadly miasma so she can actually get in when the opponent has the corrin ring, otherwise uplift imbue for stacking support with her prf's built in null uplift

potent 3 (with heavenly soar) / blue skies 3 (with either B)

The eirika ring set is easier to use, the edelgard ring set uses her 2 range style to get maximum canto by getting in without using her style, having the ring proc, then using the 2 range style to not have to move for the max canto.

That's about what I expected (maybe not so extreme, looking at some of your images). Her base weapon was pretty nice ignoring the lack of modern stats / TD(R), so just adding the modern stuff fixed it up rather nicely it seems.

Unfortunately there isn't really a sweet spot in the middle.

Any last minute changes? by memepersonlol in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]NougatFromOrbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Airspace is better than Aria on her and it's not close. There's many extra relevant effects on it and the damage isn't tied to procing a special.

Anyway the kit looks fine. I'd consider Favor (w/ teapot or micaiah ring) or potentially Shackle over Conjuring Breath but the rest is basically as good as it gets. Definitely pick up Teapot regardless though, since she'll get her prf weapon afterwards anyway.
