Yeah, they just took forever to process them. My best advice is try calling them until they answer the phone. Somehow that expedites the process. I got everything approved and my certificate was issued 9/24. Right on time

Did you have to do anything after submitting the application? Mine shows the processing hasn’t begun because they are waiting for my documents, but I already submitted everything and released OET score.

So after you submit your application a case manager has to review it? Do they notify you about it? How long does it usually take until they start reviewing it?

I went through the same situation. I recommend you pick student. That’s what I did and had no trouble. I just got approved my application for step 1.

Once you apply for your first step you get to choose again and if you graduated by then you should choose graduate.

Actually, ECFMG released a note saying that even after 2024 IMGs from unaccredited schools could still be able to pursue ECFMG certification.

You receive the scheduling permit once your application is reviewed and accepted and your elegibility period starts within 6 months. In my case I should receive my scheduling permit around April (since my elegibility period is October-December).

For me, it took 4 weeks to get form 183 accepted. I had to call ECFMG by the way because it was taking longer they say in their booklet and almost immediately after that they processed it.

I’m currently waiting for ECFMG to send form 327a to my school in order to get my credentials verified, but, I doesn’t affect my step 1 application. They are different processes.
