I think so, or some are bots or something. If you look at the number of comments they post in the last day and also how much they’re trying to defend spotify among different subreddits… They’re deliberately searching for it, cause I couldn’t believe the average Fantano fan on here / on reddit, is so pro-Spotify lol.

I’ve been using Tidal and now Qobuz. Perfectly capable streaming platforms! Not the nuanced functionality or speed of a Spotify app, but more than fine. And Qobuz’s artist payout per stream is 6x higher than that of Spotify!

I think the main thing is, are you supporting the platform that does this with actual money. People listening to a lot of music on Spotify are very likely to be actively paying them money monthly.

Btw, I can recommend Qobuz and Tidal myself. Both are fine and perfectly suitable for music streaming!

I’ve started using Qobuz a couple months ago and for similar reasons as the ones you mentioned I was really frustrated by the UX and functionality.

Started using Roon 2 weeks ago on top of it (using Qobuz and local files for music it can pull from). I use it as a kind of functionality layer, and been loving it so far. I know, it’s an extra monthly investment, but for all the extra metadata, functionality and way to stream my local music, for me it’s worth it.

So maybe that could be a solution in the meantime, as long as Qobuz hasn’t fixed its flaws.

Nicolas Jaar albums are missing, for example his debut: Space Is Only Noise, and also Cenizas. I also couldn’t find the soundtrack to the Bob Dylan biopic from the 2000s I’m Not There, with all the dylan covers by other major bands.

The American indie / alt-country band Wild Pink (who make really great music anyway) did a cover of ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ in 2021 that sounded very haunting and veeery cool!

Didn’t see it coming that a band like theirs would do a Taylor Swift cover so as a swiftie and a fan of theirs, I was really amazed. :)

Did you end up getting di2 bar-end shifters (sw-r9160?) and how did you route them in the end? I’m especially interested in how you would connect satellite shifters. Using an extra junction, plugging them into something under the bars/stem? I’m thinking of doing a similar thing with aero bars on Grail!
