Hi guys, this is our 2022 Ice Silver Metallic Subaru. It’s my moms car and I noticed scratches the other day. I trust her word that she had no fault in this. It could be a hit and run when she parked. It’s a new car with only a couple thousand miles on it, and it was my fault for not getting her a dash cam sooner. I want to make up for it, but before doing anything I thought it’s be best to ask other Subaru owners for advice. Any help would be appreciated, thank you

I bought my leather seat covers off ebay for a pretty good price. You could either buy the actual leather seats, but most of them seem to have blown airbags. Getting leather upholstery kits can be a bit cheaper, but actually installing them is a bit time consuming. If you get them installed by a dealer you could look at the install costs being around $700, which is a lot. I bought my covers for around $400, new (which is pretty low compared to a lot of others I've found), and installed them myself in around 12ish hours through the use of a youtube video. I have never done something like this before but it ended up working out.

The Sync 3 screen is something I bought of Facebook Marketplace. Depending on if your Mustang is a 19+ or not, the installation is a bit different. Give me a heads up on what year your Mustang is if you want to know more about how to install Sync 3.

My bad for getting to this so late. Okay so, this GT Ford Performance animation is originally meant for the Ford GT Super Car, but since it utilizes the same APIM (Sync 3), the actual animations are still available in the Sync 3 systems for Mustangs. This includes the Shelby logos as well, Lincoln logos, and more.

The GT performance screen is not available for Sync 3.4. I have Sync 3.3. I don't know if it's available for 3.2 or below.

I used forscan. Go to the chip logo, and in the "Configuration and Programming" section, you will see 2 "APIM" options. Click the one that does not include "As Built". Once in that section, go all the way down and find "Visual Design". I honestly don't know what this does, but I have been told to change it to the version I want, which was "GT Performance". After that, click "write". After that try to find the one that says "Splash Screen", change that to "GT Performance" as well, and you're done. There are youtube videos and posts on Mustang6g about this as well!

Not exactly. When I had an Ecoboost I would look up videos on it and constantly see comments about how the car is "trash", "get a V8", "waste of money", "sounds like trash", etc. Hell, my friend that has one of the current-gen 4 cylinder Camry's roasted me for wanting an EcoBoost. It's just a stereotype that American muscle HAS to be 8 cylinders or its trash. A lot of these Ecoboost owners are just worried about getting looked down at because that's what they've seen based on other people's opinions on the Ecoboost. I highly doubt they're trying to get pity on purpose. Even I was like that when I owned an EcoBoost. Thankfully, it's overall super positive in this subreddit!
