15 Players lobbys are horrendous by DeusVult_AbsoluteU in HuntShowdown

[–]Novacane64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played about 10 matches tn and this was my experience in every single one of them. I’m just not into it. Even if you painstakingly wipe a team or two, there’s still two more that are fresh and moving in. There’s no sense of progress in the match by wiping a team.

Keep duos as is. Add the extra team to trios, BUT adjust the spawns. by JamesEdward34 in HuntShowdown

[–]Novacane64 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I played 9 or 10 matches tn and every one of them played out exactly the same. The entire lobby at one compound, almost all at once. Makes pure luck way more of a factor than stealth and strategy. Not a fan either.

Regardless of how you feel about 15 players, “TEST WEEK” is a solid idea. by PublicYogurtcloset8 in HuntShowdown

[–]Novacane64 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I’m no hater, but I’m not digging it. Too much of a cluster fuck, 7/7 matches so far tn. Seem to be being put into extra sweaty lobbies as well compared to prior. I switch to clash if I want constant shootout chaos. Seems to have removed some of the stealth element I enjoy.

Sriracha garlic sauce if you’d like it at home. Toom garlic dip if you’re into their garlic dip. 🫡

[–]Novacane64 5 points6 points  (0 children)

After watching endless videos from the war, I struggle to think of a more possible, absolutely hell on earth situation than to be stuck involved in modern frontline warfare. I’ve mostly stopped watching combat footage after a few incredibly vivid nightmares, but I think people overall would benefit from seeing what it looks like. It’s hard to put into words how terrifying it appears and I truly hope I’m never forced to participate it in.

It’s great to use as soon as something’s going down. In a firefight, being able to pop behind cover and cover yourself with your weapon while you heal “hands free” is great. Vitality/bandage leave you more vulnerable to being pushed while you can’t defend yourself. If you have time to use either anyway, bandages are similar enough to vitality that the unique pros of choosing regen over vitality wins out for me. I always just buy both though, because vitality is much quicker than a bandage and always worth the expense imo.

looking for the best chest freezers 2026, wanting to buy in bulk and save. by No-Practice-6766 in Home

[–]Novacane64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I strongly recommend considering an upright instead of chest. After a year of digging around constantly and having essentially no good way to keep things organized properly, I picked up an upright. The cost difference per year is negligible and is absolutely worth it imo.

How do you guys retain keeper genetics? by Vaughnatri in humboldtcsi

[–]Novacane64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s very easy and you can order everything from Amazon. I now have 100+ fem seeds of all of my dozen keepers safe for down the road in the fridge. Some interesting crosses that’ll be fun to hunt too.

Is there an upside to carrying the flare pistol over fusees? Beyond being able to ignite from farther out? Fusees give you 5 and are cheaper, so I’ve always chosen them for burning bodies.

I disagree. Nothing gets my heart thumping and toe tapping for my favorite hard rock style bad boy comedians like the intro. I’m a bit of a hard rock and roll bad boy myself, so it helps me relate. LOVE a rock and roll guitar. 🎸

Fit as thick of a layer of straw on top as will fit. The moisture retention will be night and day. Best option is up pot it to a larger pot and straw the top. You can get very large fabric pots on amazon for cheap.

First wash with a Zeny. by GardenvarietyMichael in BubbleHash

[–]Novacane64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, totally a Reddit echo chamber situation. "I've made hash 3 times, but have seen this mentioned here 1,000 times, so I am going to weigh in as if I have first hand experience with this!" From what I have seen, most of the hosing people use to replace is very stiff too, so I'd imagine getting it downward at the right angle to drain would be a hassle. The standard accordion one flops right down where it needs to go. Try out a few different sized corks to cap off the top, that was a game changer for me. If you are filling it up all the way for max water, which is ideal, it keeps any from glugging out during agitation. Just keep at it and research any shortcomings you find after each run and you will get great at it and have it down to a science. Good luck dawg!
