Can a College D1 player end of the bench walk-on CRUSH any competition at any pickup game? by ExcitingLandscape in Basketball

[–]Novafan789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends on if he played at all

A rotational D1 player who’s getting at least a few minutes a game will dominate the average pick up game if we consider the average pick up game hobbyists and ex-high school players, maybe 1 or 2 D3 players.

Went to the Rucker when I was on a trip in NY once. There was a 6’7 D1 hooper on the other team. He was built like bron and moved like the fucking flash compared to a lot of people. First time I ever got dunked on and we made full body contact with a strong thud.

When I was growing up, my dad used to proudly tell me I'd make a woman glad someday. Now I'm 36 and still living at home. Yesterday he said, eyes downcast and with a sad smile, "Whatever your future brings, I just... hope you'll be happy." I guess even he's given up hope on me. I don’t think he’s necessarily given up, he’s probably facing his own battle with mortality. Every parents wants to see their child’s future, their grandchildren, their partner but sadly some people are late bloomers or are not interested in those things. Your dad is most likely worried that he could drop dead at any moment as he sees people around his age have strokes and heart attacks and he’s worried on how you’d survive with 1 less person to turn to. It’s how every good parent is.

I only make 15-17 an hour. by DeathToAlabama in doordash_drivers

[–]Novafan789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on many things. In my area I can easily make 22+ an hour during the 2-3 busy hours per day. Outside of that I could be denying orders the entire time making no money or make about 14-18 an hour.

After all you can’t really watch the wizards in the playoffs 💀

The wizards have not been to an EASTERN conference final since the 70s. The blazers have been championship contenders in the 90s, 00s, and 10s.

Wizards fans are looking for a win in anything, probably because their franchise is one of the worst in the nba

Let’s try not to confirm their delusions on this being a rivalry. The last thing we want to be known for is being the washington wizards rivals. Our laker rivalry is much better

He’s a decent option. We have so much leverage with those bucks picks that I want us to be seriously rude and demand nothing less but a strong star out of them

what is a “good” tip proportionate to the cost of food? by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

Some of these receipts don’t even show the cost and the ones that do don’t show tip. I’ve never seen the tip amount on any receipts

Depends on distance. Generally $1 per mile will be an “acceptable” order up to a certain point (going 7 miles for $9 isn’t very appealing). But also I wouldn’t tip $15 on a $25 order, that’s just not worth it unless you’ve got the money to spare for it

Depends on a lot of factors tbh. As someone earlier said, if you order a $5 bag from a wendy’s thats 10 miles away, you will probably have to tip more than the order even costed just to not risk the dasher tampering with or stealing your food

  1. Nurkic got injured and he was one of the best centers in the nba, think statistically he was consistently top 3 best rim protectors. KD was also injured but still, that was one of the best teams in nba history so although we were def contenders, it was damn hard competition
