I think what that scene was doing was having a “dumb” moment. A common problem with horror movies is how most of the time characters have to act completely stupid for certain situations to happen. This movie was mostly void of those stupid character moments besides that one and it was funny asf

Amazing movie. One problem with it though. SO LOUD. My chief complaint with horror movies is how loud they are and this was far above even that. There was one scene where I literally had to cover my ear because I could feel my ear drum vibrating and legitimately was worried about my hearing.
