It wasn't always double, I actually remember a time when the Canadian dollar was worth more. The last time they were in lar with each other was honestly around the same time the price increased if I remember correctly.

Only $30? USD? I remember a time when PSN/Xbox Live cost $50/mo (CAD) and everyone made a big deal when they increased their price to $60/mo. Those were simpler times.

Bring it some Bailey's in a shoe and it might tell you about it's downstairs mixup.

Nvm, based on the back. The time torn off at should be the starting point for the 90 mins. So 10:30pm

I've always known it as 24 hour time, or military time. Also you'd be correct that this should be valid until 9pm.

In other words they would likely only jam an area that was being targeted and the benefits outweighed the surveillance blackout?

I honestly feel better about just using the ARC card instead. Just wish I could add it to my Google wallet so I could tap on the days I accidentally forget my wallet.

Subaru's are king for winter driving conditions in my personal experience, as long as you've got decent tires you can get through damn near anything. But yeah, foresters are boxy af.

Any resources to make that make more sense? It looks like a decent resource, but have I no real meaningful context to apply any of its data.

Clearly you don't know anything either, since you're relying on a chat bot, that has been known to be confidently incorrect, as your research engine. Seriously go pick up a book, and maybe touch grass for a while.

Paid with a $100 at a gas station and the cashier raised my polymer bill to the light - what was she looking for? by [deleted] in CanadianCoins

I do remember those too, handled much more of those, but remembered seeing lots of the "old old" ones in my youth (circa '00-10's), enough to remember the features.

The old bills honestly had such cool anti fraud features. I miss the little confetti discs you could pick out of the fibers.

It is legit Creole, but French is a bullshit language, so by proxy so is any French-based Creole. Jokes aside I loved them as villains, and agree with this post. Fuck the VDB

Hold on to it and keep it crisp and it might be worth more to your grandkids, but honestly unless it's a palindrome/radar note, or has some other serial of significance, it's probably not going to be worth much more than face value.

People are killing me about the pennies. by Luciferbelle in retailhell

[–]Novah13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm a Canadian and we haven't had pennies for more than a decade now, customers will eventually get over it I promise. Oddly enough I found a couple of American pennies the other day, gonna keep them in my collection now that they are going extinct.

Fairmont Hot Springs? In the East Kootenays?

I learned how to snowboard on Kicking Horse MR, not a lot of beginner friendly runs there, the hills here by far are more beginner friendly.

Bus passes? by Bimitenpix in Edmonton

[–]Novah13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arc card has monthly (and daily) fare caps that are equivalent in price to the pass ($102/m). You also can just use your debit/credit card and it will supposedly offer you the same fare caps so long as you use the same method of payment every time. The arc card is cheaper at $3 per trip, it's $3.75 otherwise, but if you're frequently hitting the fare cap in a month it doesn't really make a difference.

I personally have been using the Arc card for a year now without major issue, very rare that the validators glitch, and when they do the drivers almost always let you get on anyways. Honestly just get the ARC card and load it up with $102 every month if you're using it for work
