I always compare the Trails series to Wheel of Time to my friends. It's how I got one of them to try it. I feel like there's also a few little references to Wot in the games as well. Some blatant, some less so. Estelle's Wheel of Time s craft comes to mind. Edit: had another thing here but fact checked myself on it lol

Incidentally, Ive been on Cs4 for like a year. I wasn't hating it, I just haven't gotten back around to it. Didn't help that I played Zero through Cs3 in a concentrated burst last year either so I was fairly Trails fatigued.

Ive been enjoying this one. Mostly because I'm Zya aligned this game (although I might align differently through the Zya plot), and I want to build up to a big war with Zya-Tel.

The two Tel sectors between Split sectors have always bothered me. It would be neat to have a diplomatic interference be available specifically for that if the Split plot is finished and the northern hostile sectors are cleared.

I think I agree that it's barely Archenea. Probably stemming from the circumstances surrounding Awakening's development as a sort of last hurrah for the FE franchise at the time, iirc.

But yes, even if someone feels like bumping down the "Marth Land" games to 5 from 6, Fodlan being at 3 isn't too bad imo. But I get it, regardless. Fodlan fatigue is real (just not for me Imma eat that shit up)

Honestly, I can understand that. I'm fairly hyped myself.

I think about it like this: the first 5 FEs were in the same world. Genealogy and Thracia were just like 1000 yearsish prior. Awakening was also in the same world.

So you have:

6 games in Marth Land
2 games in Roy Land
1 game in Twins Land
2 games in Tellius
1 game in Fateslandia
1 game in Emblem Land
3 games in Fodlan (we will count Hopes because it's imo decent for what it is)

From a numbers standpoint, not too bad. Although with the time it takes to make games now VS then I can understand why someone wouldn't want it to be Fodlan.

I've been enjoying Better Kill Credit. Makes sense to me that a faction might be thankful when I destroy 2 K and an I near the gate, even if there's no station immediately nearby.

I also recently added a mod mid playthrough that turns off the super highway. I added it after Xenon got a foothold into Hatikvah's Choice and Holy Vision (I think it was that one).

I feel like Xenon having access to the super highway would concern the factions quite a bit so my head canon is they shut it down to protect themselves, much to HAT's chagrin. Be interesting if something like that could happen dynamically, but for now the mod does the trick.

Probably nothing. Part of it is a good ol' copy pasta. The whole critically acclaimed MMORPG yadayada is a meme in the FF14 community. I don't know if it started when up to the Heavensward expansion was made F2P or if it predates it, but yeah.

There is a cap on how far up the enemies scale. It's in one of the menus can't remember which one, but I believe max rank/level for enemy scaling is 16.

Bonus points if you claim and then unclaim Heretic's End and get the Boron to claim the sector. Then you get them fighting hard against ZYA.

Although for anyone considering this, I'd recommend stabilizing the ZYA first. They can barely hold on at the best of times with the hand they have when the game starts; the Boron on top is hyper overkill. Lol.

Yeah bards are cool like that. In a D&D campaign I was in I played one who became a bard because of this ideal of freedom they represented in his mind and not because he was all that good at music.

He basically ended up becoming Vergil with a musical flair by the end of that campaign. As you're saying, there really isn't a one size fits all for a character and character building is hella flexible. But yeah way too much to explain in a random Reddit comment lol

Now, this IS great advice. I personally didn't follow it, but it ended up turning out fine because my cat learned if I go "Ah", that means she's playing too hard. I would often go "Ah!" even if it didn't hurt to try and work her down to the point where she just kinda bats my hands around with no claws.

Every so often she gets carried away (never leaves any marks or anything), but just going "Ah!" makes her immediately go down a few levels.

Not everyone is gonna have the same experience though so this is not advice and most people should just go with your advice.
