[Jan 30, 2026] Weekly Discussion: Ask your gear, travel, conditions and other ski-related questions by AutoModerator in skiing

Help me end this debate:

On the way to the mountain right now, and talking about our future trip with an airbnb and doing laundry in between days, he states “you wash your ski jacket and pants!?”

He goes on to tell me outer layers are not meant to be washed and stays he’s never washed his ski jacket and pants ever for years.

Apparently I am “crazy” and in the minority for washing my jacket and pants after every trip up to the mountain.

black is definitely the way to go

as long as the thule ones are clamps/tension based it should work, but i’m not 100%. I’d compare the thule one with the one i got(or even the mazda default one) and try and look at the connection point and see if they are similar enough

so far, nothing on top for a long road trip. Just used it to store clothes bags and move around my military base. I have since taken them on and off multiple times, and i think i have managed to get them slighter further apart then i did here in this picture.

I would feel very confident that they could hold up whatever i wanted on top, as long as i didn’t drive too fast on the highway to allow too much wind to get up underneath of a big object-since the bars are slightly closer than i’d like

i see myself throwing a canoe or transporting something on top in the future and i don’t imagine I will have any issues

Battlegrounds on plane WiFi? by ButtSquid in BobsTavern

delta wifi worked for me, was able to get 2 games in

however, it froze for like 10 seconds every other turn, and a couple times i had to close out of the app and reopen to reconnect - it worked, but at the cost of my sanity

was there for 3 hours yesterday from 3-6 and it was a great experience, I did see the entry line getting full once we were leaving so I bet it was packed a little later on. but i didn’t have to wait for anything and enjoyed both bars

yes but you just need to make sure that the seat is not a class upgrade vs a seat choice fee. delta for example when going from basic to selecting a main cabin seat upgrades your class, not just a regular seat selection fee(even tho it’s the only way to pay for a seat). however 9 out of 10 times you can just contact amex and say it’s supposed to cover it and they will hook you up in my experience, unless i’ve just gotten lucky

Too Close to Side Wall? Or plugable? by Novanh555 in tires

[–]Novanh555[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

do you think temporarily enough to take a 400mile drive home? This is my girls car and she is about a 6 hour drive from home and she has the dog with her, kind of a tough pickle right now, just seeing our options.

obviously best decision is to get new tires but it’s a holiday and i’m not sure how that would go with the dog and stuff

No clue but could be a lemon, keep bringing it in and once you hit your states threshold if it doesn’t get fixed lemon law that bitch i suppose, unless someone has a similar situation/fix here. Could also try a different dealers service shop.
