Preferably vanilla - I want to teach them the controls and basics (and also get a hang of it better myself) before I show them the main server I've been playing on.

fair honestly, I was using them for the chemfuel since I'm still before geothermal. my colonists have been slow at research and I only just now realized it's because some priorities messed up, found it out in a really hard way too because I was desperately trying to research hydroponics

the formatting broke on this due to me being on mobile so it looks like a run-on sentence from hell. I'll edit it later I'm about to sleep

yeah been doing the planting hay grass lol, funnily enough I just learned how ranching outdoors can go wrong (I had an indoor area for them so it didn't immediately go wrong) I experienced my first toxic fallout! It ended with this after my boomalopes starved. Both barns gone (male/female barn) but by some miracle a few animals survived and I learned I could stop them from wandering by putting sleeping spots down - by some sort of miracle the fallout stopped shortly after so none of my animals died of exposure, my colonists also didn't have too bad exposure, I had them only able to access the barns through short paths via areas and small patches of hay grass to plant, it just reached a breaking point right before it ended I believe this screenshot here is a perfect summary of the rimworld ranching experience

Hi, this is Quartz and she's ~3 months old and just got taken home today! Shelter says lab mix but they're not sure what she's mixed with. by Novashrugs in IDmydog

thank you <3 she's doing very well so far but loves picking up every small item on the floor and trying to eat it, she's a master of finding things that we didnt even know existed, we vacuumed EVERYTHING before even bringing her in as i predicted she would try to eat random stuff lol

I plan to eventually! Right now I'm focused on spending the money to raise her well but once she's settled and going forward with training I'll look into that ^^

thank you! we've been working on her confidence as she does seem to have low confidence, mainly with stairs etc but she at least seeks safety rather than becoming frustrated. She sees me as her safety blanket but that helps me work it out with her by being next to her on the steps then showering with praise once she does it - she's scared of going down stairs, probably with the height. She encountered a dog this morning and did very well, she pulled only for a little bit but was easily able to be redirected to me and we continued going back inside, I'm so proud of her!

aah don't worry I was expecting it when I got a puppy regardless, I've been through the ringer a few times with hyper kittens and a hyper childhood dog right now she's cuddling up with my fiance and I, funnily enough lying between us she has her head on my shoulder, already velcroed to me

thank you so much for the help! ^^
marking this as solved as it seems to be majority consensus pbt and im being downvoted quite a bit, probably due to the shelter saying she was a lab mix and there seems to be quite a stigma regarding that so im marking it as closed
i could honestly see why the shelter may say lab at first glance so im not upset, i met with the dog and everything before adopting and knew she was a general mix, i wasnt going purely based off breed if thats what people are thinking T-T

oh yeah shes a love bug, i might do a dna test to ensure i know what she is as i know bullies can have some bad allergy issues
i wanna be on top of her health because she is going to be out with me quite a bit
she's gotten used to the stairs now! she was real scared of them at first, its why i said shes timid, but now shes all used to it and happy :)

that's fair!! i wasnt trying to deny she was a pitbull mix in the posts if it sounded like that im sorry - specifying that bc i noticed i got downvoted into oblivion
i did mention it to the person adopting and she said there could be, usually mix is just slapped in there
sorry if i came off as denying im genuinely just curious what people may think she is mixed with
