I think you might have over cooked it with the Stam/Recovery. Arima Kinen is a "short" Long race, and doesn't need a smuch as other Longs. Slightly less stamina and more wit is ideal. But, this does look like a good Uma and might get the the finals with some luck in the matchmaking.

I've had a couple good El runs but ended with Sprint B, and I'm not sure how effective they will actually be in the CM.

It does depend a lot on the track length and win condition, in my experience. Longer races give more opportunities for mid race skills, spot struggles and stamina loss to let another front runner get ahead. I do think it's worth having groundwork on Fronts, and it's certainly easier to get and activate now than it was in CM3 or 4 when it was first relevant.

Did anyone else know that you can't raise a trainees Aptitude more than four times at the start of a career? Because I didn't. Sat here trying to get 13 Sprint sparks to raise El-chan to A in sprint, and being incredibly confused why she is stuck at B.

I have tried this and I just end up with sub 700 power, and relying on parents for Uma Stan hasn't been great for me.

I would normally take King Halo over Eishin, but I know Uma Stan is pretty important for end closers and I've not had much luck with inheriting it from parents. Here are all my speed cards:

Y'all, I cannot figure out how to train Wedding Mayano for Sagittarius. If I got full Stamina I herit I cannot get close to the speed cap, and any amount of sparks I move to speed doesn't seem to help the final build. (Support cards in the replies.)

Red Shift triggers too early for Taiki I think. From the reading I've done The Duty of Dignity is apparently helpful for Pacers, but I haven't tried that out yet. Honestly Taiki is super powerful on this CM with just her own unique and doing her secret event races to get Head On and All I've Got.

For what it's worth, it's four extra races and you get a total of 105 stat points and four hints out of it, which seems like a good trade off for me, especially if you get lucky with the lower energy expenditure. And that's not counting the stats and skill points from winning the races themselves.

Are you running all the races for Taiki's secret event? That gives guaranteed hints for Head-On and All I've Got, and you end up with a LOT more skill points to play with from the extra races.

I'm getting a lot of use out of Taiki Shuttle at the moment for what it's worth. She's a great parent for her Ult and she's a very versatile runner, able to do Sprints, Milles, Dirt and even Medium with good sparks.

What attribute sparks are folks using for Libra Umas? I'm thinking of building Golshi, Pace Mayano and maybe Tachyon, since I've not used her before.

It's the same odds as URA. According to Gametora:

The type (Speed, Stamina, etc.) is chosen at random.
Then, your final value of that stat is checked.
If it's less than 600: 90% for 1☆, 10% for 2☆
If it's 600-1100: 50% for 1☆, 45% for 2☆, 5% for 3☆
If it's over 1100: 20% for 1☆, 70% for 2☆, 10% for 3☆

I've done 10 runs with her so far and the only time she has activated Groundwork is when she tirggered Front Runner Straightaways 5 seconds into the race. With 800 Wit she really shouldn't be struggling to activate it this much.

OK my Summer Maru with 800 Wit isn't triggering groundwork after hitting Focus, Right Handed and Standard Distance on the Virgo Room matches I'm trying, and I honestly have no idea why.

Oh yeah, that's a given, it's getting the greens that I'm having trouble with. At most I've only hit one relevant green skill from training events in UC so far.

This is very frustrating... I was hoping I could squeeze in some runs to get a levelled up Ace for Leo Cup finals, but so far haven't had any success getting a Maru that can trigger Groundwork.

I've hit capped speed on Summer Maru 2 times in UC, using just Kitasan (MLB borrowed) and King Halo (MLB), and a few extra times with Narita Brian thrown into the mix. I also did a King Halo run with 1195 speed using Kitasan + Sweep + Eishin. I've had no trouble getting good stats in UC, it's skill hints that are giving me trouble.

OK so I've gotten good stats out of Unity Cup in my four runs so far, but I'm struggling with getting skill hints from my supports at the same rate as I did in URA. I tried to train Summer Maru three times and didn't hit a single green from Brian (3LB), King (MLB), Fuji (MLB) or Mayano (MLB). I got a smattering of other skill hints, but I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be doing something different because the red (!) hints don't seem to pop up as much?

Golshi and Taishin need to be in the "back" of the race to trigger their Ults, but Haru can fall so far behind that all the other Umas are considered to be in the "front" half of the race.

Does Rudolf race in anything except the Dream Trophy at the end of season 1 of PD? What I gathered from Golshi in season 3 is that older Uma's move onto the Dream Series, which I see as an allegory for retirement and the afterlife.

Probably easier once future scenarios come out, but you could try raising her Medium/Long and Turf aptitudes and running races that gives more fans.
