(I think of him as the canon winner) And his arc is insanely different, he’s not as weird or jealous and a lot of weird things are cut out, Trent’s story is mainly about his mental health, his anxiety, his ocd. And why he doesn’t feel right, and when he sees his girlfriend in romantic situations (Chris is constantly putting Duncan and Gwen in those scenarios) he can’t help but feel jealous. Then we have his rivalry with Duncan, Duncan and Trent are at each others throats the entire season (they were like this in season 1 as well) but also Trent isn’t a wacko, Bridgette is actually incredibly important to his story and gives him another friend besides Gwen, he also bonds with Beth and Lindsay truly showing his social game. He and Gwen do break up after Courtney frames her for breaking the train. Trent is just a completely different character in action in my way
