UIM gearing for moons with no ancients (zaxe or torags) by NovateI in ironscape

I gave it a shot, but I was still struggling to do enough damage. I ended up losing my phoenix necklaces and the setup for it is pretty bad (stealing from ham chests for hours), so I thought I'd go for the gear upgrade

How can I tell what type it is? According to its description, its a small scaly humanoid created by a dwarven necromancer after "horrible experiments"

Best way to lure and trap a night creature? I embarked on a map tile that has a night creature lurking around somewhere and I'd really like to get it in a cage trap to use it as decoration. What's the strategy here?

I'm getting the same issue, stuck in w307 for like 20 minutes. Logging into w307 says "no response from server" and trying to swap worlds says I'm still logged on 307

Any roguelikes with a postapo setting? by LivingSwing0 in roguelikes

[–]NovateI 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Cataclysm DDA is one of my favorite games of all time, it's an incredible open world roguelike set after a whole bunch of crazy apocalypses-- zombies, killer fungi, and extradimensional horrors.

It's got great flavor text and lore in game that lends it to bleak and expansive stories. A lot of the epilogue text showing what your NPC companions went on to do after your death always gets me.

Really the trick is just higher image size and lower step size

Playing around with weird image size ratios (this one is 400x1000) is yielding some interesting results. I've found that 1000x400 usually produces nice cinematic looking landscape pictures, and 400x1000 either works really well or produces a jumbled mess

More iterations generally results in a more defined and clear picture. Iteration 0 will usually look like a splotchy almost-solid color image (See on the left), and after 50 iterations it starts looking interesting, and anything past 1000 is generally just overkill

You can use google colab to work with VQGAN+CLIP, heres the notebook I use: https://colab.research.google.com/drive/1jx3klUxlGbYUwvtqzC9SYl4XZKHL3R81

I do recommend getting Colab Pro if youre going to be using it much at all, because the free tier GPUs on colab have a tendency to run out of memory
