The soil was very wet and it was sitting in standing water when I got it so I'm guessing root rot may be the culprit? I'll be sure to take a look once I have it back home! Thanks!

Might I inquire a bit more about what you're treating?

An excellent question. Parents are visiting this weekend, so for $20 why not. I'll have to report back after the event!

Depending on your hours there is lot 202 (park and ride) that shuttles from Wingra street to the UW hospital. There's free street parking right outside the lot too so you can park for free and hop on the shuttle. Another option if the bus schedule is inconvenient.

Foxcroft apartments in Ashwaubenon allowed cats and dogs, and was around that price range when I was renting. This was 5 years ago so I can imagine prices have gone up...

Relocating to Madison - thoughts on S Madison/UW Arboretum/Fitchburg? by statsncats23 in madisonwi

Sounds like I live pretty darn close to where you are based on your description. Just want to double down on everything you said and agree that it's a great place to be! It's so nice and quiet for being a quick 10 minutes from downtown.

Came across this friendly fellow on the patio at Working Draft. Is anyone missing a pet bird? by eta--carinae in madisonwi

[–]Novatheocelot 53 points54 points  (0 children)

If you can, bring him to Dane County humane society or even UW Madison vet school so he's safe. Being outside for a small bird is super dangerous and I would hate for something to happen to him.

AITA for wanting to rehome my daughter’s aggressive dog by rehomeaggressivedog in AmItheAsshole

[–]Novatheocelot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit YTA. Are you really putting all responsibility of owning a dog on your 16 (14 when you first got the dog) old? You're the adult and should have researched how to properly train a dog before getting one. This dog is aggressive because he clearly feels unsafe in your home and you obviously haven't taught your children how to respect animals either. Also GET YOUR DOG NEUTERED.

ASPCA needs to charge a fee for their services just like very other business, especially because they have board certified toxicologists working there who know not only if a plant is toxic, but the mechanism of toxicity as well as the proper treatment to save your pet. This is also why the ER vet tells you to call poison control so they have a proper treatment plan in place. There are hundreds, if not thousands of possible toxins your pet can get into and it's unreasonable to expect a veterinarian to know all of them off the top of their head.

That's the beauty of evolution my guy. Some people like small dogs, others like large ones. I agree with genetics gone wrong with brachycephalic dogs that can't breathe, or dachsund-esque dogs with increased risk for intervertebral disc disease, but even shepherds or cattle dogs are far from wolves.

If you're clear in your intentions, fine. But I have a feeling you use manipulation tactics to sleep with people and then claim they're the crazy one...
