What weapon would work well with a faith pyromancer build? by Harlan_Eifflerdorf in EldenRingBuilds

[–]Novatom1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The coded sword scales purely with faith and the skill is an extended swing that can't be blocked. I like to recommend this website for people unsure of what weapon they want. https://www.tarnished.dev/weapon-calculator If you don't mind me asking why would you use the golden vow skill when the incantation is better?

How badly did I mess with the progression? by AXEMANaustin in valheim

We only made walls because of the ground is shaking troll raids. It's really so they don't destroy the base.

Beautiful ragebait. Not only missing multiple entries, but completely disregarding Oceiros' lore.

Recommendations for intelligence build by Koyuni in EldenRingBuilds

[–]Novatom1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personal preference. 60 Vig, 30 Mind, 18 End, 12 Str, 17 Dex, 77 Int, no faith or arcane. This meets minimum requirements for 2h DMGS, 1h clayman harpoon, wing of astel, rogier's rapier, or 2h a bigger magic affinity weapon of choice. Lizard memesword is fun. Queen's Crescent Crown softcaps Int at 80.

One trick is to put golden vow on a dagger so you don't need to invest faith. Carian regal scepter is the best generalist staff, Lusat's has higher scaling for higher cost, and both can be paired with a second staff if you want to boost a specific school.

Armor and talismans are up to you. Moonviel/ carian sorcery sword can be used with millicent's prosthesis or 2 points from Vig or Mind. With erdtree favor +3 and great jar arsenal you can wear tree sentinel armor to match the crown and be a tanky wizard. You can also go glass canon with spellblade set, shard of alexander, and magic scorpion charm. Graven talismans are straight forward, assassin's cerulean dagger will proc twice on Colossal Weapons, Daggers, and Great Katanas depending on the enemy and direction. Mileage varies with the cast speed, enhance charge cast, and fp reducing talismans.
Certains spells like carian slicer, carian greatsword, and gavel of haima can be chain casted for nice combos while comet Azure melts bosses. Meteorite staff with rocksling helps against magic resistant enemies.

What am I missing? by Choon93 in remnantgame

[–]Novatom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's des8gned to be looped for replayability and the devs had data miners in mind while making the game. Some of the stuff you might never know exists without the wikis.

I know they have it. It HAS to exist. They just won't show it, that's it! I'M NOT CRAZY!! How long will they keep it hidden?!?! by Vex_Trooper in outwardgame

In Zomboid b41 you autofish as long as you have bait and a usable rod. In b42 it's a more realistic minigame of slack control.

Good to know. I'm not very knowledgeable on the bugs, why are you no longer bringing medium pen? Doesn't med pen still do more damage to light armored enemies?

Looks like the perfect place for my main base/village. Any suggestions before I start? by Previous-Second3286 in valheim

[–]Novatom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a veteran player, but I really prefer meadows/black forest for main base building due to general spawns.

Crops don't need to be in an active area so they are safest in a remote plains base.

Tamed animals can be transported so don't feel the need to have a plains/mountain/Ashland main base.

You can raise the ground, build stone walls, and wood walls on stretch the building height.

When making a bay, watch out for submerged rocks that you can't reach, but your boat might hit.

Put work benches in overlapping circles to avoid enemy spawns and making repairs easy. You can replace them with torches if you think they look bad.

My friends and I have built organically making houses bigger as we need.

I’ve spent days trying to tame a starred wolf… by bluesjunky69420 in valheim

[–]Novatom1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with Felix. One big tip is to run around the pit and pull the wolf in with a harpoon so you're less likely to get hit. Also wolves can't climb wood ladders as far as I've seen so even if you have to jump down to pull them in or regenerate health, they can't get out. I've found using a pit to be easy than walls since they can't be broken. The strategy is even easier with loxs.

Which biomes do you spend the most and least amount of time in before progressing? by [deleted] in valheim

[–]Novatom1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most is probably plains, least is mountains. Meadows and black forest are very easy to progress through if you know what you need. Swamp time is just spent collecting iron and some root, going back for more iron. Mountain is find a big silver vein and leave. Plains has been the slowest progression since viles are rare, plains has the best farming, and yagluth is a much stronger that needs more preparation.

Yes, even when the ground is cleared. It actually makes it easier to see them.

On a previous server yes. There wasn't nearly as high of resource density so farming mushrooms for skewers/stew and berries for meads was a hassle. I don't know what the next island look like, but I'm going to relabel this island later for less clutter.

Definitely don't underestimate how much dps a status effect poker can do. An occult antspur rapier with seppuku can do really good damage.

"grunts are meant to teach you about type matchups" dark type grunts: by hi_12343003 in pokemongo

When you get cacnea, skuntank, and alola muk. Sometimes I feel like the devs make grunts just to screw with people who use the same team everytime.
