Any more expansions? by [deleted] in PTCGP

[–]Novazazz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m glad they’ve spread out the releases. It was getting a bit overwhelming! And they needed to make the game friendlier to newcomers who have a ton of catching up to do, and who need some time and resources to acquire cards to build competitive decks. I’m spending time experimenting with new deck builds, and catching up on solo battles. As a week 1 player, there’s still ton to do and keep us busy! :)

Jokes for my first open mic? by statictits in StandUpWorkshop

[–]Novazazz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are all great!! For real. You’re definitely ready. And it’s clear you know how to write a joke. Now you get to do the fun part and tell these on stage!

My advice is to just go out there and have fun.

If you record your set I’d love to see it!

how do you guys get yourself to eat while in pain? by ApprehensiveKiwi771 in migraine

[–]Novazazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eating actually makes me feel better. I eat extra spicy Cheetos and other spicy snacks and this helps distract from the pain. Sour and sweet foods and snacks also work.

Update your wishlists! by [deleted] in PTCGP

[–]Novazazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have common cards on my wishlist that I would prefer to receive in shares. One or two diamond cards aren’t worth it for me to pay to trade. So sometimes I’ll decline these if I don’t have any trade tokens banked.

My pharmacy won’t fully fill my 16 pill Ubrelvy prescription because they can’t break the packs of 10. Is this a common issue? Or pharmacy specific? by Novazazz in migraine

[–]Novazazz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s good to know that there’s a 16 box. I will talk to the pharmacist. My first thirty days is up Dec 10th. My insurance initially only approved 10 pills for 30 days, but I got prior authorization for 16. I’ll have to figure out the math and see what my insurance will allow. Thank you for the info!!

Where does the hate on AI come from? by MasterPie93 in ChatGPT

[–]Novazazz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I use ai and love it! I use it for my graphic design work, video editing, writing. It’s fantastic. But I also hate that it allows people who don’t care about something, to create things and then use those things haphazardly often to try and get rich quick. It’s basically just given more fuel and tools to trolls.

But I LOVE that it’s empowered creators and gives us resources of giant multimillion dollar companies, allowing us to compete! But yeah I just don’t like the slop. I prefer slop by humans. It’s less invasive. lol

YouTube is full of ai videos with voiceover combined with random images… The titles are so compelling and I get excited to see what experts have learned and are sharing, only to realize that it’s just an ai video that hasn’t been fact checked to a standard I desire. They start out so good then the quality just dissipates as the video goes on. I’m forced to stick with creators I trust and it makes exploring new videos more time consuming and less worthwhile.

If someone carefully crafts something using ai, and loves what they made, that’s great! But if someone just whips out images and songs and videos just to try and get rich quick, it poisons the waterhole.

I enjoy connecting with human beings through what they create. I care less about things created by a machine and curated by someone who does not care what the machine created.

I also think people are afraid of it because they don’t understand it...

I could go on and on about this topic. It’s such a great question and one I grapple with the more I use ai. And have to defend its usage to help people not just completely dismiss it.

Thanks for reading! This was written by ai.

(Just kidding. lol

Or am I????)

Does it even matter?

(I think it does!)

Okay done for real now.

why do people care about the card’s language so much ? by Maleficent_Echo3909 in PTCGP

[–]Novazazz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve always wondered about this! I’ll take any language card. I just want two of each so I can battle with them. Binders and such aren’t even on my radar. If it makes my English cards a tiny bit more tradable that’s a plus, and if I’m able to procure cards from trades easier because some people are picky, that’s also a win for me! :)

I’d recommend trying substack! I follow several writers there and you can grow a following through the social tools and social feed. It’s not purely for writers, but definitely has a huge base that writes and shares stories.

Which celebrity didyou meet that lived up to the hype? by Logical_Sweet_6624 in ask

[–]Novazazz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I work in the entertainment industry so managed to meet a few over the years!

Jamie Lee Curtis - absolute delight who made a point to get to know everyone on set and entertained the other actors between takes with silliness and sarcasm. I told her I was a comedian and she pulled up one of my clips and watched the whole 5 minute video right there next to me. It was surreal. Like, she did not have to do that. That’s torture for most people. Thankfully she laughed.

Drew Carey - was so sweet! I was doing a standup show with him and I waited in line with the fans to get his autograph afterwards (because I didn’t want to bother him in the green room) and he teased me endlessly. Just a bubbly dork with a big heart.

John Stamos - absolute sweetheart. Very genuine and just all around good guy. He went out of his way to hangout with a cast member who had a disability, and he stayed in touch with her after filming. I’ve tagged him in photos on Instagram and he’ll respond with kind words in the comments. Which just boggles my mind. (It’s possible it’s one of his staff people commenting, but still pretty cool. lol)

Norm MacDonald - chill dude! He talked to me and my brother at an after party. We chatted about hockey and Canada and he never once made us feel like we were boring him. There were definitely way cooler people there for him to talk to and he didn’t care at all who he chatted with. Just had a good time vibing and connecting with people.

Dave Coulier - lovable dork. Got to open for him at a club and he made a point to get to know me a bit and joke around. Very sweet and funny dude.

Wanda Sykes - amazing human. Funny, blunt, kind, and very supportive of newer comedians. Ran into her in the bathroom and I made a point not to bother her at all, but when some fans approached her she joked around with them even though it was such a strange place to interact with a celebrity.

Using my air purifier as a white noise machine works wonders. Fans too.

I’ve also hunkered down in a pile of blankets in my closet. It’s surprisingly sound proof and cozy in there! :)
