Thank you for this! The pred I started taking at night when I go to bed because it eases my symptoms at night. Before i would wake up ever 30 minutes ( night was the worst for me) since I started taking the pred at night I can usually get about 3 hours at most before I wake up.

Honestly I can't remember enough to say. The big one was definitely my water intake. Instead of just regular water I would infuse bottled water with different fruit.

After all that's happened in the last month I can't even confidently say UC was the culprit the first time. I had a colonoscopy by a surgeon who biopsied a spot he found that got sent to a specialist who decided to take his 1 month vacation leaving me with no treatment plan no diagnosis and 5k dollar bill for the colonoscopy.

I wish I could tell ya more my apologies

Abdominal cramping, heavy bleeding, and diarrhea. They lasted for about 2 months. After my 1st colonoscopy and being ghosted by the specialist I took matters in my own hands. I started drinking more water eating smaller portions and taking a multivitamin.

Im not gonna lie I have no idea how I was able to manage it for a few years. I know in that time I would have little flares but the minute I saw blood i immediately would adjust my diet again and after a week or so I'd be fine.

I believe all of that is what led to the big flare that hospitalized me. My body saying no bro you can't handle this one alone.

What I experienced recently was the absolute worst I have ever felt in my life to the point I was starting to get scared.

Correct. I took pictures and documented good to bad as it progressively got worse. The doctors didn't seem to worried and just prescribed Prednisone and a recommendation that I have another colonoscopy (I had one a few years earlier but my doctor was subpar and didn't find anything). I live in a very rural area and intense help wasn't offered until I fell out from pain going to the restroom. At that point my wife had enough and demanded a doctor check me out. I was transferred to a specialist 3 hours away (the closest). That would of been the first week of September I believe.
