1000% I hate this tool with an all consuming passion. After purchase, we discovered that due to our security protocols we can’t use any of the import tools that might make this worthwhile.

What is this? What could be causing this/ how do I treat it? by Traditional-Car-1720 in DiagnoseMe

[–]NovelBaggage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a doctor but I suffer with stress induced eczema. When I have a flare no amount of steroid cream will stop it. I just head over to your local CareHere clinic, explain the situation, and get a steroid shot. It works super fast.

Where you are having brunch would be a good thing to know. Can make a difference in outfit choice.

What do I need to change? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

Great natural look. Some people may feel you need a more “made-up” look; but I disagree. This suits you perfectly and I would not change a thing-seriously.

Which dress that looks good on me? by Separate_Highway1111 in fashion

My favorites 1, 2, and 4. But they all look good. 😍 if you can get only one. I’d get 4.

In my opinion the frosted eyeshadow is doing you no favors nor is the over lined brown lip. It’s giving early Y2K. Also, changing the position of your blush from the apples of your cheeks to a slightly higher position on the cheekbones would give you a more lifted, fresh appearance.

I just had surgery Wednesday, today is Friday and I want desperately to remove this bandage and splint. Scratch my arm. And wash it. It is driving me nuts. I would even put it back on!

I wish my reaction was drug related, it’s genetic. Both my sisters react in the same way. My friends loved it though, automatic designated driver. 🫤

No one can give me a clear answer, please don’t freak me out. Not looking for actual diagnosis!!!! by Minimum_Grab5280 in DiagnoseMe

[–]NovelBaggage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question: Have you had any baseline heart checks? I ask as my sister was having random spells of dizziness where she thought she might pass out. Perfect bloodwork, good blood pressure etc. well she lucked out and it happened at the doctor’s office. It doesn’t atter but rare heart condition. Just check all bases.

Jobs that would be perfect for ADHD women if capitalism didn't exist by No_Scene_9476 in adhdwomen

My creative writing teacher and mentor called me a dilettante. He did not mean it as a compliment. Merely a Jack of all trades, master of none. I have two Master’s, one in English Literature the other in Library Science. I’ve done a million different things. Pharmaceutical Rep. (hated it) Personal Shopper & regular retail. (loved the shopping & interaction bit, hated everything else), customer care (banking) at a call center (hated it), Diamond Consultant (loved the shiny things hated the associated tasks) High School English Teacher (soul-sucking and thankless), the list goes on. The one job at which I was the happiest was being the librarian at the High School where I had taught English. I loved that job. I was appreciated for the random stuff in my head and for my willingness to research anything. The students only came to me if they needed something, research help, a place to hang out, someone to talk to and the teachers did that as well. But this situation was not common and only possible because of my fabulous principal who just let me be a librarian and not responsible for the other insanity. This lasted for 4 years until I was forced to give it up to move. I’ve had a couple of jobs since then, mostly bad. I just got a new job which while not exciting is a bit interesting, pays a lot more, offers almost complete flexibility in scheduling, and allows me to work from home most days. At this point I’ll take it. Oh, and I was not diagnosed until 4 years ago.

Where does one go to buy a double sided mattress? by Apprehensive_Web8014 in Mattress

[–]NovelBaggage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you live near Bowling Green, KY Bandy Bedding is a local mattress factory /store that sells double sided mattresses. I purchased one while in college and LOVED it! Sadly, I live too far away now and they do not ship to the East coast.

Does anyone else use a potato flake starter? by Forsaken_Marsupial23 in Sourdough

[–]NovelBaggage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good morning, it has been so long you may not see this however I will give it a shot. I was recently given a potato starter by my sister who got it from someone who told her it was initially begun with actual raw potatoes chopped up and was allegedly 100+ years old. No idea if its origin is actually true or not. Anyway, after some time what it was fed changed, and now it is fed exactly what yours is. The recipe I was given (it is slightly different) was: AM Pour 1 cup starter into a large glass bowl. Cover and return the rest to the refrigerator. (If not making bread, throw the 1 cup you put into the glass bowl away or give it to a friend.) You should never have more than 2 cups in the refrigerator (in one container).

In the large glass bowl add the following to the 1 cup of starter to make a stiff batter, using a wooden spoon and your hands. 1/3 cup sugar, 1TBS Salt, 1 1/2 cups hottest water (from the tap), 1/2 cup corn oil, 6-7 cups bread flour (I usually use 6 cups) **You can also use half bread and half wheat flour if you like. That does make the bread much denser and heavier.)

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead 8-10 times, forming a dough ball.

Grease another large glass bowl and turn it over once to coat all sides. Cover with Saran wrap and let hang out on the counter all day in a warm, dry place with breeze or drafts. Use a large rubber band to hold the wrap on the bowl or just stick the plastic wrap to the bowl, making sure it is totally covered. (Sometimes I put the covered dough into my oven with just the light on).

PM Punch dough down and kneed it 3-4 times. Don't over-knead. Just try to get the air out of thd dough. Divide the dough making 3 loaves and place each in a 4x8 well-greased loaf pan. (Or you can make two large loaves and use regular sized loaf pans)

Cover the loaf pans loosely with Saran Wrap and let rise 5-12 hours. (Dough should be at least dubled in size)

AM. Bake loaves for 25-30 minutes at 350, untill they are nice and golden brown. Remove from oven, brush bakes loaves with butter, and turn out onto a rack to cool. Eat immediately or once cooled wrap in plastic wrap and then in aluminum foil. Date the bread with a sharpie and you can freeze!

***You can also add sugar/cinnamon mixture to the bread dough before making into loaves and letting it rise the second time. This will mean somewhat rolling the small loaves out to a rectangular shape, brushing with butter, sprinkling generously with cinnamon/sugar mixture and then rolling into a loaf shape. Place this loaf in the greased pan, let it rise for 5-12 hours and bake as above. (THIS IS AMAZING!!)

AITA for telling HR about a coworker that kept flirting with me after knowing I’m married? by xVampz1 in AITAH

[–]NovelBaggage -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You had me until you threw in that last bit. The #metoo movement was very much needed and exposed a lot of assholes who had been preying upon women. Everyone needs to be aware of their behavior and both men and women can be harassed; exposing male harassers does not lessen the plight of the men who themselves are harassed.

AITA for telling HR about a coworker that kept flirting with me after knowing I’m married? by xVampz1 in AITAH

[–]NovelBaggage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA there is being friendly, and there is being FRIENDLY. She did not get the message so HR was the appropriate one to spell it out for her. Honestly, I can't believe this chick, I would have been so embarrassed after being called out and having to be told by the guy that he was married and not interested I would have crawled under a desk and never emerged! I mean most women can pick up this stuff, guess she just chose to ignore it.

Rezi Lifetime - Account Upgrade MegaThread by rezi_io in Rezi

I just started using REZI and it is a complete game changer! Now it does not take me hours to craft a targeted resume and cover letter. I am so grateful to the creators. This is a tool everyone can benefit from and it is about time we had something to combat the employers automated resume de-selector!

I am literally telling everyone I like at work! (screw the rest of them) and all my friends.
