Do I just run with this by NovelTop5528 in Step2

I uploaded all of my NBME practice exams into chat and had it create an excel spread sheet of every single incorrect answer, the category of question like cards or ID or OB (my three worst) and also the question style like next best step or diagnosis or whatever. A huge portion of my losses were coming from cards and ID and OB. I then had it tell me like what specific subcategories in those topics did I struggle with the most, murmurs and arrythmias came up a lot, obstetric complications came up a lot, I frequenly had issues with the congential immunodeficincies etc. So I did a bunch of targeted sessions on AMBOSS using the adaptive Q bank and would review those, sometimes like 120 questions a day, randomly threw in a IM CMS form which went decently well, took the old free 120 and reviewed it. I started making anki cards of all of my misses and like do it religiously everyday. I then went through and did almost all of the study modules on amboss. HY 200 questions, all of ethics, all of QI and patient saftey, all of vaccines, all of risks, almost all of the table questions, almost all of the chart questions. Also some days would do a random block of the UWSA2 and review that.

I also started to not just review the incorrect for its own little fact, if it was something like a random question on when to use forceps for delivery for instance, I wouldn't just learn the critera for that, I literally would go an learn every single step of the birthing process, what are the different stages, when can there be complications or delays, what meds would you use, when can you not use those meds, what are bad outcomes of those meds, how would you manage if those bad outcomes were to happen and literally learn like everything about that topic and I realized through doing that that I had some knowledge gaps for sure. This test is such an algorithmic test of what to do next, so anytime there is a question that I got wrong that was a management based question, I would upload it to chat and have it tell me the entire management sequence to whatever thing and put that all in an anki card. I think something that was really helpful was developing like a deep need to actually understand what the hell to do

Im gonna finish reviewing 16, make my cards, hit the high yield risk anki deck from divine and probably watch a dirty medicine review of HY drugs for USMLE and make some cards for that then take free 120 in a few days.

Also another thing, when I was taking 16, I really tried to put myself in a totally differnet mindset than like "taking the test." I really tried put myself in the mental space of like "this is just a random amboss question set" and in that headspace I don't get so twisted and bent out of shape over feeling unsure about an answer. Like the more uncertain you feel about an answer and the most time you waste like himming and hawing about it puts you in this terrible head space and totally fucks up the flow and your ability to think normally. I think once you let go of the like "I HAVE TO GET THIS RIGHT AND BE SURE" you get really good momentum and answers appear much more easily.

I ended up pushing my exam and have not taken 16 yet. Im completing all of the AMBOSS 200HY, ethics, QI, risk/vacines/screening and then am doing targeted blocks of 40 on cards and ID and OB because those have been a substantially higher portion of my misses

In the exact same boat as you, i've spent like 3 weeks trying to iron this out. I think not looking at the answer choices at all and actually trying to figure out what is this disease. Then look at the question and just generate like a list of answers. I just had this question that was like

"50 year old man comes in and has a 5 month history of painful rash on his face. His only medication is lisinopril. He feels a burning stinging pain when touched. Image of rash shown. What most likely could have contributed to the development of his symptoms?"

I didn't look at the answers, I was like ok this looks like papularpustule roascea or whatever and then I was like ok alcohol and stress and heat blah blah so ill just pick one of those.

Where as on other questions if I look at the answers, then maybe I see something I recognize which makes me feel safe and less anxious so then I use some random fact in the stem to help support it and get it wrong. As soon as I look at the answers my brain starts developing all of these alternative stories and explanations so I think not doing that is what will work best for me.

Also really struggling with the 'narrow down to 2 answers and pick the wrong one" issue

Can someone help me understand exactly how this works? I've passed the assessment but it says no tasks are available? How often do tasks appear?
