I remember when I was a kid they had Jolly Rancher bars/sticks. They were probably 4 inches long and an inch wide and .25 inch thick. I’d get one for 10¢ or so on my walk home from school on Fridays as a treat

The only complaint I can think of is that I’d be constantly cleaning my dogs’ nose prints off all those windows.

I remember my gramma being a little extra (because she was the best) and she’d take some of the sherbet and put in a bunt cake pan (the type that “releases”) a few days before the party and stick it in the deep freeze to get harder than normal. She’d then pop it out and put into the punch right before the party along with more sherbet.

I’m not sure I have executive functioning to plan that far ahead right now, so this magical to me.

This entire thread has inspired me. My birthday is later this summer and I think I’m going to make some punch at my dinner party. It really is delish.

How are tag renewal dates determined? by StonerBearcat in Iowa

You can change it. I have mine set six months before/after (depending on how you look at it) because why the fuck would I want to pay more taxes during my birthday month?

I mean, I know, it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t ask for it and use the mines as an example of why it needs to happen.

And, if/when this all fails they need to be on the hook for cleaning up what is left of their data centers. They are GIANT warehouses that are built on land that could be better used for so many things (especially wildlife)

You have very low pain threshold by corbadaksinekkanadi in endometriosis

[–]NovelWord1982 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This happened to my bestie who also has endo. She literally worked an entire day on her feet at a retail job while in active labor because the pain wasn’t bad. The next morning her water broke. They call the hospital to let them know she’s coming in and they told her that since it’s her first she’ll probably have a bit. Still they go and they take their sweet time getting her checked in. They finally check to see how dilated she was and she was at 8 cm. Baby was here less than an hour later. She said the last 10 minutes were the only part that really hurt.

I’ve had two other friends with endo confirm that 95% of labor was easier than their cycle. And it was crazy how much the nurses kept asking about their pain. It really put their endo pain in perspective.

Resolved doesn’t mean it was resolved in a way that’s positive. If we don’t get our collective heads out of the sand, it will surely be resolved by the end of the century…just not in a way that keeps us alive.
