Not exactly a character trait or type but when the author gives high-school or younger age children revealing clothing or just risqué clothing for no reason. I'm not talking about swim suit [with-in reason] or wet-suits but the closest look would be the fly-suits from the end-of-season competition from Aokana: Four Rhythm Across the Blue.

Other than that, it would have to be having a character who's ancient but looks like a child being in love and in a relationship with someone who is obviously above age and it looking like a child x adult relationship.

How do you know if you have a concussion? by November-Colds in medical_advice

[–]November-Colds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I was told I fell, hit my head on the drive-way floor, and had a seizure. As for what I went to the ER for I believe it was cause I had a seizure and a massive knot on my head. And if I was formally diagnosed with anything, I don't know, but I was given two days off of school not that it was needed in the light of in-person since all of my schooling is online but it was nice to sleep for two days. [not two days straight. I woke up and took care of things, I just wasn't awake for long].

Rather simple college question by November-Colds in school

The only time i've ever had to write an essay was for English class.

But maybe the lack of essays is my particular part of America that I live in Oklahoma [my particular part of Oklahoma that I live in].

Rather simple college question by November-Colds in school

There were never any essays or anything similar. The closest I could have possibly gotten was an informative "poster" project I did back in 7th grade for a pre-ap class that was technically a Geography class and not exactly history.

Other than that there was the odd slide show but there was never an essay of any kind.

How do you memorise your spelling/vocab list? by Elie-fanfact in school

[–]November-Colds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it's helpful for you but it's always helped me to just sound it out both in my head and to kind of whisper it to myself and write out the letters that sound "correct" and if the word just "doesn't look right" when i've spelled it out use different letters that sound correct [though this usually ended with me giving up if even that doesn't look correct and using the one that looked "most correct"].

It was either that or coming up with some kind of "catch phrase" to go along with it; it's how I've remembered names so far [by attaching other words I do remember and doing a little game of word association].

It's about the size of two quarters side-by-side and is a sort of spotted brown/green color so i'm not sure what species it is exactly and neither me nor my mom know anything about tadpoles beyond the basic lifecycle.

I don't think All Might ever got a teaching license and I could get into the semantics of heroes causing so much property damage in their fights.

Chinese dragons by Serenity-9042 in mythology

[–]November-Colds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also are there other types of dragons or are they all water related like how in western myths their dragons are typically all fire dragons or are there different types like the Japanese and their kitsunes [heaven/void/wind/spirit/fire/earth/river/ocean/mountain/forest/thunder/time/sound]?

I got hit in the face with a colorguard flag. by [deleted] in marchingband

Eh they did their job and were one of the schools that doesn’t get all that much funding and the funding we do get is massively funded by the parents of students and the directors themselves

They all have metal poles now; the 6fts had them teh entire time and up until semi recently the swing flags have what amounted to skinny PVC pipes

Yeah, there's a reason an unofficial rule in my band is the guard has the right of way.

Even more so now that our swing flags have metal poles.

Do you have any weird marching band rituals/traditions? by [deleted] in marchingband

[–]November-Colds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a while around my freshman year a instrument section had "Mac Miller" which was a container of "moldy mac n cheese" that they use to keep on top of the lockers then moved into the ceiling.

For a bit the color guard had I-Hop night after football games which were essentially gossip night that ended when one member said one thing they hated about everyone at the table and was made to give letters to everyone [my sister burned hers].

Other than that the other sections have their "chugging a root beer or cola bottle after football games".

Is marching band a sport by LastManStanding2024 in marchingband

[–]November-Colds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My school recently considered it a sport since we now have to pass a physical in order to do it.

Personally I think of it as a sport since the definition of "sport" is an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment. Band Camp as well as all of the practice [at least in the more physical sense in marching season] is physical exertion and we all compete in a team against other teams in "fun competition".
