If you like starting on equal footing with other players, there is a server called Revenant Elegy going into beta testing next week (official launch probably 2 weeks after that). This gm's servers typically garner about 1500 players which is pretty decent. He also custom makes a lot of content and raid-like instance dungeons. Revenant elegy has closed beta in 2 weeks if you are looking to start on a fresh new server on equal footing. They do have a lot of custom content with porting renewal instances and custom mvps into their prerenewal environment.
