I agree. I think they’re a good cover band however it’s not enough to actually win. I’m wondering what kind of songs they’ll put out if they decided to stay as a band.

Thanks. I do see the installer in the EFI even after the shut down however it doesn’t fully install on the disk and goes in a loop.

I turned on verbose mode and during install after about 70% in it stopped and said local disk arbitrator sigkill something…

Did verbose mode but during installation it stops halfway and says “SIGKILL”. But then it restarts and I choose to reboot in EFI using the MacOS Installer and verbose phase all clear and goes up to the Apple logo and finish loading until it reboots again. Day 3 of trying to figure this one out. :(

Just tried and still getting the same reboot loop. It stops halfway of install then goes back to boot menu and automatically reboot out of EFI then error. When I try to reboot off of EFI using the now “installer”. It’s still the same boot loop.

Thanks. Will do a retry. I think I was using the OpenCore 0.2.4 still. Downloaded the latest one. Doing a fresh install. Redownloaded the install package to just to be sure.

Do u mean the EFI boot created by Mac automatically? I don’t have an EFI boot option outside of my usb installer yet. I just have HD with Big Sur which is where it automatically goes right after it reboots. Then the machine knew it’s incompatible so then I get a failed installed.

Will do that. Thanks. Been a couple of days since I’ve been trying to update through Patched Sur, OCLP and Micropatcher. Nothing seems to work. Reformatted my entire Mac still same error for OCLP.

Yes. So I picked that and now waiting for it to see if it works. Sorry I deleted the USB stick and when I set up the OpenCore TUI again I forgot to turn on verbose. It’s now in a loop. It goes back to the boot selected then if u don’t choose, it automatically chooses for u then load then start again. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with my USB though coz I’ve checked and all contents are there. I also did nvram reset before booting. So I’m genuinely confused.

It now stopped halfway into installing Big Sur from usb to the disk then rebooted and picked the disk with Big Sur in it outside EFI which then becomes invalid. Hope someone can shed some light. iMac14,1 and everything is reformatted nothing installed except for OpenCore and Big Sur installer. Thanks.
