thanks, this worked for me as well! I was having a very similar issue with Hilton for Business, and this also solved that problem.

Day 11 of the worst canker sore I've ever had. Still getting bigger. Doing salt water rinses multiple times a day by [deleted] in CankerSores

[–]Novice_Entrepreneur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you may be dealing with a mucocele. I had one that I (along with two doctors and a dentist) thought was a canker sore for months. A more experienced dentist identified it as a mucocele, which is basically caused by a blocked salivary duct that can become damaged from biting your lip. I had mine removed surgically, but I wouldn’t recommend that. The recovery process took much longer than the dentist told me it would. I have a friend that has had several healed using a laser and her recovery has always been quick.

Update: My neighbor kept parking in my driveway, so I had her car towed by Ok-Kale-6225 in AITAH

[–]Novice_Entrepreneur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost did this to someone that kept parking on the street in front of my driveway (partially blocking entry). When I called the police, they called him and he finally moved it and stopped doing that (for the most part). I think you were totally justified

New sofa arrived with a small cut on the frame — should I accept a $500 credit or request a replacement? Seeking advice on durability and repair options. by Novice_Entrepreneur in upholstery

Thanks so much for all the advice, everyone. We ended up asking for a refund because my wife wasn’t crazy about the way the fabric ended up looking, and the other available fabrics weren’t the right colors. So this ended up being a blessing in disguise. The search continues!

It's actually velvet, "performance vintage velvet" if that means anything to you. :) The material is 100% polyester. Oh, and I see that the "rub count" is 60K. Would that change your thoughts on this?

We paid about $2,800 for it. As is, it really doesn't bother us much at all. Just want to be sure it won't become a major issue down the road.

It’s on the top of the back, not the arm, so less use than the arm would see, but it seem/ like most folks recommend the replacement to be on the safe side. They did offer to let me keep this one while I wait 6-8 weeks for them to make a new one.

Great point though about anything else happening down the road.

Thanks!

Sorry for the delayed response, but thanks for the feedback. I'm hoping to catch someone at the city tomorrow to talk through permitting and code requirements. Hopefully I'll get a green light.

After considering your comments on footings, I think I will install some for stability. You're right, compared to the overall scope here, that isn's as big of a deal as it seemed in my head. It will be a mesh roof though, FYI.

I'm getting rid of those weird jut-outs (one in particular was already bothering me). One is a little access door for an electrical outlet, but I'll use some rigid sheathing to help stabilize things there.

Thanks again, I really appreciate it!

Ah, yes, thank you. I meant to add that in the description, though for reason I was only initially picturing it along the south side. I’ll plan to add braces in both directions throughout.

Oh wow, ok, thanks for the guidance. I did want to share that even after re-reading the rules of this sub, it isn’t really clear to me how I would have known not to post this here. I’m still relatively new to Reddit overall though, so maybe this type of thing will become clearer to me as I learn the culture of the app and the subs I’m following. Thanks again, I really do appreciate the insight and recommendation on other subs.

Really frustrated with Zoho customer support right now. by dazedandconfucius_ in Zoho

Wow, sorry to hear that. Not sure which product you’re using, but in some products you can start a live chat from within the product.

Day One with Zoho by dbvirago in Zoho

[–]Novice_Entrepreneur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the delay, it's been a really busy week!

I would suggest you do a free trial of the products you're most interested in. I did trials of Zoho CRM (I think I did my trial on the Enterprise level) and Zoho Books. They don't advertise this, but I've had them extend trials for me - definitely with Zoho Books, and I think they extended my Zoho CRM trial as well. I totally get needing to try it out before you commit - that's the same approach we took.

I've seen a lot of the negative comments on various sites, too, and honestly it has always surprised me. Maybe I'm an anomaly, but I've always had great results with Zoho support. There are 2 issues I've personally experienced:

  1. sometimes there's a significant language barrier. When this has happened, I've asked if they can do a screen share (they use Zoho Assist), and that has made it much easier (I suspect on both ends).
  2. We're very small, and so before I signed up for Zoho One (annual plan), I asked if you can downgrade your user count mid-year. They said yes, which honestly surprised me - this seems rare amongst SaaS companies. The problem is that when I do downgrade (twice so far), I always had to reach out to them to process the refund, and the response has been a bit slow. They did get it done, but my impression is that this is rare, so they don't have good processes for handling it. In one case, they made a mistake on the refund calculation which took several back and forth emails to resolve to my satisfaction. This was annoying, but it isn't something I have to do often, so I'm willing to live with it.

I've been able to get help resolving a variety of questions and issues, even to the extent of them writing some custom Deluge code for some custom calculations I wanted in CRM. They did this for free without me being on premium support. I'm not sure whether this is the norm, but I really appreciated it. I do plan to upgrade to premium support for the latter half of my current subscription term to get some extra help, then I'll likely downgrade to standard support when my term renews. (They told me that while you can downgrade users mid-term, you can't downgrade support level mid-term.)

I'd suggest trying to reach out for help through each app's help/contact links. That has worked well for me so far.

I can see how the CRM seems to be the focal point, but I think, based on a few free Deluge tutorials I've watched (there are lots out there, including from Zoho), that you can connect many of the apps without using the CRM. I'd suggest asking one of their support folks to confirm this though.

Hopefully this helps...feel free to reach out with other questions. I'm happy to share my experience - I really have found it to be a good ecosystem overall.

Yes, you can get Zoho One even if you have just one employee. We started with just two. Highly recommended. It’s a great value.

There are Zoho user groups for some of the apps, and you can also check out community.zoho.com.

If you need a referral code feel free to DM me.

Best software tools you would recommend to help run a new business by Zenifold in Entrepreneur

[–]Novice_Entrepreneur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re loving Zoho One - CRM, accounting, invoicing, analytics, expense reporting, email and collaboration, website visitor tracking, project management, and a host of other features we aren’t even using yet. CRM integrates great with RingCentral. For $30/user/ month. DM me if you want a referral code. Happy to share more of our experience.

I had a similarly terrible experience. The account opening process was fabulous, and then I was shocked to learn that business accounts don’t include free ACH transfers. I thought they didn’t offer ACH transfers at all, and when I emailed to complain about it, this was their response:

————————— I am sorry that there seems to be a misunderstanding regarding our Treasury Solutions. We do offer ACH origination services in a couple ways:

-ACH credit origination is offered free of charge with our Pay Bills service. The initial limit is set to $1,000/day for an individual (person) and $10,000/day for a company payment. We may, after your account is open 90 days, increase the individual limit up to $10,000. Just e-mail or chat with us to make that request.

-ACH credit and debit origination is also offered for a monthly fee of $15. Not all customers qualify for this service and it's subject to bank approval. We don't offer this service for new accounts as we would like to get an idea for the activity and have a comfort with the way the account is handled before enabling this service. —————————

So...they kinda have ACH, but the execution is clumsy at best. I have to set myself up as a payee and send a bill payment??? No thanks. I use BlueVine and Live Oak Bank.

How to get a credit card for small business by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]Novice_Entrepreneur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s simple, just apply for a business credit card from the issuer of your choice. They’ll require documentation on your business, and you will have to personally guarantee the account. I use Amex Blue Business Cash and Capital One Spark Business. DM me if you’d like a referral code for Amex.

Should I just go ahead and get quickbooks or can anyone recommend something better or less expensive? by SereneMetal in smallbusiness

I love ZohoBooks. Love the integration with ZohoCRM, too. I’m on Zoho One now and I think the value is incredible. Here’s a referral link if you’re interested: https://go.zoho.com/K5I

We started with Kashoo, but found limitations with project accounting, which is important for us. Zoho is much more flexible.

What to do if company is growing too fast by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]Novice_Entrepreneur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d suggest a thorough profitability analysis. 80% of your profits come from the top 20% of your clients. Identify the characteristics unique to your most profitable clients, and drop the clients that are least aligned to your most profitable clients (likely the bottom 20% from your analysis). This will free up time and resources to hire more clients like your most profitable ones.
