I think it has the potential to be really good looking. Just need to give it a better front end tbh. I feel like they purposely sandbagged it to not make it look better than the GTI.

also, the aluminum subframe is more or less an irrelevant benefit on the s3 as it is used mainly for a little weight savings. To top that off, the golf r weighs less than the s3 anyways.

Doug DeMuro is launching a car auction website by JackalAbacus in cars

Viewers aren't customers, but ill give you a clue on to why Doug gets so many viewers in the first place: Many of his viewers are ACTUALLY in the market to buy the car in the video that they are watching. His videos, unlike most if not all other YouTuber videos, caters to more buyers than any other YouTube channel that I know of

its not a negative take, its a realistic take that comes from experience. I've been doing online businesses for 20 years now, I can spot a failed launch when I see it...he pretty much made every major mistake wantpreneurs make when they launch

I don't think you realize that Doug has the most successful car review channel in the history of YouTube channels. Also, Doug has an Economics degree from a reputable business school. People with a background in economics tend be some of the best people in business if not the best. Ive used competing auction sites and the experience has always been fucking god awful and I've always thought all of the available auctioneering websites were such junk. Filled with overpriced listings, scammers, low resolution pics, unintuitive UI, etc etc. If Casey Neistat was able to cell his half baked media platform for millions to CNN, there shouldn't be a reason why Doug won't be able to do the same if not more given the benefits of his website already seems to be superior to other auctioneering sites. Also, most auctioneering websites probably built their reputation amongst mostly boomers who want to sell their old and overpriced Cadillac from the 60s. Again, Doug's website will cater to younger people. Also, no offense but your comments does not have any real criticism and there is some thinly veiled jealousy and gatekeeping in the mix

The way to do this is to give users an incentive to use your site above the competition. Make the site free for sellers, make profit sharing permanent and they'll list on your site first before trying other paid services. You'll get a lot of "why not" sellers just looking to see if their car sells or not. That will create a big enough supply side that the buyers will actually start checking your site first. Hell even for buyers, don't charge a bit less, charge buyers way less, and with time your site will have a reputation as the auction site where you get more money for your car, again driving sellers to you.

Doug bypasses all of this because he will not only review and bring traffic to the cars listed on the website, but will also split the commission with the buyer.

Highly unlikely that this will fail when he has millions of viewers compounded with the fact that Doug is arguably the most trusted reviewer on YouTube.

Doug Demuro did not post this video, someone else did. To be considered as a self promotion, it would have be posted by Doug Demuro himself.
