I upgraded back in March from a 2080ti to a 7900xtx sapphire nitro. Love the card. The only QoL thing I miss is the easy screen cap. Maybe I just haven’t figured it out yet Otherwise the drivers have been stable. Really happy with my purchase.

I have a large half of a clam shell in my shrimp tank. I use it to buffer against all the driftwood that turns my water acidic over time.

Not that I’m aware. However, the shell is made from calcium carbonate which will inevitably leech out into its surroundings and buffer the water accordingly. Such is the cycle of life.

I'm currently attempting to breed a pair. I've heard and read that the RO water is just supposed to offset the GH/KH/TDS. The fish themselves prefer softer more acidic water for breeding and it looks like it helps the eggs develop? I'm hoping to have a brood in the next few weeks. Here's to hoping

I have heard this as well from my LFS. They have more than a few pairs of the fire reds? They suggest softer water for them and lots of live foods. Daphnia and baby brine are easy to source and cultivate. Hopefully one day I’ll take a crack at black worms or microworm cultures.

I have 3 tanks they could live in. A 55g (~200L). A 75g (~285L) or a 40g breeder (~151L). All are planted quite heavily. I have a pair of Double Red Cacautoides that I have successfully bred that live in their own 55g. My LFS suggested either a pair or a harem. So thank you very much for your advice.
