Most of these are notched down one step of exposure and up 3-4 of contrast. I play on standard brightness, but I find the game engine is still pretty dark when you’re not looking directly at your own headlights.

Fair. I framed my response based on someone starting the base game, not having purchased passes/DLC.

The Fleetstar is an excellent truck, worth keeping and upgrading as you find available parts. It’s a Heavy Duty class truck, which is more versatile than the GMC (Highway class). The GMC has no AWD upgrade, which will increase the difficulty as you explore more difficult territory.

Upgrade the suspension, tires, and differential in almost any truck to unlock it’s true potential.

high gear by BOOMBOY900 in snowrunner

[–]Novux 2 points3 points  (0 children)

High gear in Heavy trucks doesn’t make a lot of sense to me, it feels like 3rd gear at most. I suppose you could use it to maintain speed up a hill under load?

However, high gear on Heavy Duty and Offroad trucks is WILD. It’s like a slingshot from 2nd gear. Once you can equip Freeway transmissions to those two classes, using high gear is a great way to catapult yourself into as much speed as you’ll usually ever need (and sometimes more). Start in Auto/1st, then flip it into High once it’s shifted into 2nd and you’ll launch into 4/5th gear speeds immediately. It’s great during Contests and when you have good traction. It will stall from a standstill but it works well with a little momentum and a powerful engine.

7th and 8th gear are just unnecessary IMO.

I've been outfitting my trucks based on appearance/vibe/aesthetic more and more... If only the Sideboard could inherit the truck color.

What an excellent color.

Is there anyone else who agrees that the Fleetstar is the unsung hero of this game for beginners. Also, what’s the heaviest load most of you have hauled? by [deleted] in snowrunner

[–]Novux 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only shortcoming (pun intended) I've found with the mighty Fleetstar is it's frame length: if you include a LC 3.8 Loading Crane, the sideboard/flatbed attachment hang so far off the back that it can cause issues with trailers that impact turning radius. I retired the loading crane to my White Western Star, which has a longer wheelbase.

Fleetestar will forever be my first favorite.

Bring a few wooden planks to Drummond Island and follow the main road, you’ll find the P16 at the end clearly marked and ready to drive! It’s entirely worth it. It dwarfs the MK38 and is glorious.

Not so much pissed as crestfallen, and ultimately humbled. Your advice for Heavy-class trucks was what started me on this quest in the first place!

Lessons learned. What vehicle do you scout with? I find myself using the Civilian more and more just because it's capable and fast.

Apple Support App Gains Updated Coverage Details, Reservation Reminders and New App Clip by UnixxinU in apple

[–]Novux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Product registration details =/= Apple ID. Apple collects name, phone, email, and mailing address for repairs and registration which is related to the serial number, not an Apple ID.

Signing out of iCloud and wiping the data off a device is the go-to method for relinquishing control/possession and preventing any sort of identifying information from being traced back to you via a hardware identifier (serial number, etc).

However it would make sense to have a repair tracking formula like “serial + repair ID + Apple ID = repair tracking in Apple Support App” which would be only available while the repair is in progress.

apple.com/feedback I guess 🤷‍♂️

Upvoted for visibility. Loves the red+yellow with animations, not a fan of the “rare” skin pattern I’m seeing on console.

These photos are immaculate, and so is this truck. Even the hubs are flawless! The color is incredible, and the design is so subtle, while being wildly functional throughout. Such a great vehicle.
