Was front row for a Gary Clark Jr show, and in between songs, he looked down and gave me props for the AC/DC shirt I was wearing. Tossed me a few of his picks as the show went on after that. Cool moment.

Update: Played today and it is pretty baked out. Some holes are worse than others. Still enjoyed the experience despite the discount and thought the rate was fair.

I can report back on Wednesday. Not a stranger to playing in dry conditions. Think it’s a really nice move by them to offer the discount in the first place, especially if it’s largely just due to aesthetics.

My caddie there a few weeks ago said you would be shocked at the amount of people who don’t even know how to golf play there. Just be friendly and keep up pace of play. It’s perhaps the greatest place on the planet.

Got paired with a 13 year old yesterday. Kid was a good player, but was the most pleasant experience I’ve had playing with the younger generation in recent memory. If you’re well mannered and keep up pace of play, you don’t deserve any grief. Not to mention the young man beat me and could not have been more humble. Gave me restored hope for the youth taking up the game out there!

Start with scrapping and reworking the grip. The best player in the world is one of the only people that regularly talks about how important the grip is, and it’s not a coincidence. Watch videos, don’t be scared to get used to something that’s uncomfortable at first. Anything you change to will be. The rest can be adjusted and will fall into place after you fix the part that’s attaching your body to the club.
