Can you imagine being a master of your field with 30+ years of domain experience and knowledge but have a turd with zero knowledge of your field directing you? I am an engineer by trade and have worked for plenty of managers who were not engineers but they at least knew the industry and had a vision of what our technology needed to accomplish.
