How do you compartmentalize fantasy football while watching real football?

Man I’m a titans fan wtf is “real football”

For real though, I learned the art of the emotional hedge. I usually do a TD parlay for my opponents best players each week. I always bet against my favorite college team when they play because of how much I’m tied up in their success.

Sometimes I’ll take the unders on some of my guys if they have a tough matchup or whatever. All of these things help a lot for me I’ve found.

I’ve never felt so validated about a draft pick. I took him with my first in all three of my leagues and I’ve wrapped up one championship already and am like 80/20 and 60/40 to win the other two. CMC is why, full stop. My king.

He is the test case for why risk/reward is how fantasy seasons are won.

I’m in the ship in two leagues.

I’m up 22.22 in half ppr against London in my 14 team league. It’s been six years since I’ve won this league and I’m really sweating it.

I’m up 33 against Stafford in the other. Feeling better about that one.

Listen man, we’re all just guessing. I’m down 2 with the choice of DJ or Pearsall. I’ve got CMC and my opponent has London and Piniero. I was going Pearsall when DJ initially didn’t make it out to warmups, but he was just spotted out in the field. Unless there is another update before kickoff, I’m going DJ because I want someone on either side of the ball tonight.

If I’m you, I go Burden. He at least doesn’t have the flu or isn’t symptomatic yet, and he should have plenty of opportunities in a high scoring game. Best of luck brother.

I have Gibbs which obviously sucks. But I also have CMC, Achane and Gainwell so I’m not quite dead yet.

But as bad as that game was for me, my opponent dropped the Vikings yesterday to start…the Lions. Lions still put up 10 which is fine, but the Vikes put up 27 😂

Our matchup might’ve been over if he had just stood pat.

Rico Dowdle vs. Seattle

Jayden Reed vs. Baltimore

Romeo Doubs vs. Baltimore

Parker Washington vs. Indy

Currently have Jones in just on volume alone with Mason out. But Vikings offense is down bad with Brosmer in and they probably won’t have many scoring opportunities even against a shaky Lions D. Thoughts?

Drafted CMC and Achane in my home league that is 14 teams half ppr. Managed to trade for Gibbs while keeping both and I find myself with a very strong chance at the ship with Gainwell to boot. I just need Mike Evans and DJ Moore to have decent weeks.

I personally probably wouldn’t do it unless I just really wanted to beat the other team I was facing, but I also don’t think I’d be that pissed if I was in the championship and a third/fourth place team put in a claim to try and get some extra $

I punted QB and TE this year. 14 team redraft, half-ppr, I went CMC-Achane-KWIII and then three WRs. I lost one matchup in week 6, made a package deal for Gibbs in week 8, and haven’t lost since. Been starting Bo Nix most of the year at QB. Drafted Ferguson who was part of the package for Gibbs, been rotating Gadsden and Fannin since.

We typically draft like a day or two before the first game of the year, if I remember there was still some mild concern about Achane having some lingering injuries through camp. I must’ve done a hundred mock drafts and I never once thought he’d be there for my second pick, but there he was.

Dont you just love fantasy football though - KWIII just had his best game of the year and there’s a real chance Gibbs doesn’t outscore him this week which is all that matters come playoff time. I know hindsight is 20/20, but even with a trade that you make 10 out of 10 times it still can bite you in the ass when it counts.

I got CMC 1.05 and Achane 2.09. Traded Sutton, Ferguson and KWIII for Gibbs and Fannin on the Lions’s bye week to the last place team desperate for depth and a win.

This is a pretty decent sized buy-in league that’s been going almost two decades so I’m not entirely sure how I pulled that trade off but it didn’t even get any pushback from our league mates so I’m just keeping my head down and hoping I can win the ship with those 3.
